This interview is about six to rent a car, Los Angeles
0:05
The car was reported stolen. I lost over $60,000 in property, and they've done nothing to correct it
0:18
I was using, I had a rental car through them for about a year, maybe a little bit longer
0:26
because I had a really good corporate rate on a monthly rental
0:33
And so I was utilizing that. And it was pretty cheap. There was a really good deal
0:41
And so basically what happened was I was moving to Vegas, Las Vegas, from Los Angeles
0:49
and it was pretty much my last trip up there. and they had some kind of clerical error on their end
1:00
and the car was reported stolen and it wasn't I mean it was being paid for every month
1:10
there was not a I did like nothing wrong you know and basically the car was reported stolen and so on that drive up there I was pulled over as if I was a you know GTA you know stolen car stolen vehicle by Highway Patrol
1:31
And it was a traumatizing and horrible experience after that. They arrested me, took me to jail
1:39
I ended up, took all my money, took all of my property that was in the vehicle, was
1:46
uh, ended up being just disappearing, basically, uh, sixth claimed that they had my property
1:54
And so after, you know, bailing out, having to go through, hire an attorney
1:59
um, and then them apologizing and, uh, them saying, you know, they'll do whatever they have to
2:05
to make it right and to get their charges dropped. Um, I wanted to get my property out of the vehicle
2:12
So, you know, I started to, try to contact them, or just go down there to get my property to where I
2:19
where the car was, uh, rented from originally and where it was brought back to you
2:25
All of my property, um, was vanished basically. They, they, and they were sending me on a wild goose chase like, oh, no
2:32
it's in, at Long Beach at the corporate, uh, you know, office go down there and ask for this person and I would drive
2:37
all the way down there and ask for that person. Oh, no, sorry. Oh, we don't know what you're talking about
2:41
You go back to, you know, Los Angeles. And so for they did this for about a about a month until finally it was like my stuff was on And I not going to my passport you know expensive watches clothing all of my everything basically
2:57
A lot of paperwork that was really important that I needed in documents. And I ended up missing my sister's wedding because of it
3:03
She had a wedding in Costa Rica. And I wasn't able to go because my passport was right before my passport was vanished
3:10
And I don't know how they used a passport. wars, you know, misplacer. I really don't know. So at this point, you know, it's been
3:20
an extremely traumatizing experience. And, you know, I want to, now I'm going to at a point
3:29
with them where I'm going to have to, you know, file a lawsuit and try to, no charges were
3:36
ever filed. It was kind of just like, you know, it all kind of, you know, I lost over $60,000
3:42
and property. And between the attorney, bail, and now we get all of my stuff, it's upwards of 60,000
3:51
So, well, I would like, you know, six to, I mean, I would like for them to, you know, make this
4:00
right and do at least compensation for you know everything that they put me through through this mess and they admitted you know it was their fault and they admitted and apologized But that not good enough at this point I kind of feel like
4:19
disrespected and taken advantage of from this whole experience. It's not, yeah
4:29
Now, being that this has happened to me and kind of telling my story
4:34
and hearing now from a lot of other people that I know
4:37
this is happening I'm not the only person that this has happened to
4:42
and I feel like happened to I've spoken to numerous people that have had the same exact experience
4:47
it wasn't as bad for them because they didn't lose much as I lost
4:51
and had to deal with you know they got arrested but they were able to get out of it and
4:57
and they didn't have all that property and self-consumer but it's basically been
5:04
it's been there I want to let me sure that they are they change their you know what the way they're running things over there and
5:13
they're all you know make sure that they stay on top of uh you know whatever it was that caused this
5:20
clerical error in the first place and for their customer service to be better and for this
5:26
never happened anybody else ever again it is not yeah it's been really difficult so
