The Pilates ‘Roll Over’ is a challenging exercise for many and one which once achieved gives a real sense of satisfaction and feeling of control and connection with your mind and body. In recent weeks we’ve been approaching this exercise by breaking it down into stages. Firstly lengthening and finding our hamstrings, connecting with our core as we lift our tail bone off the mat then focusing on the movement of the spine. In this video I aim to break the exercise down into stages so that you can hopefully achieve a ‘roll over’ safely & with confidence. Please listen to my instructions and keep your head centred as we ‘roll over’. This exercise is not suitable for everyone. Anyway with neck issues or osteoporosis should not participate.
