Hey, Hey folks, good evening and welcome to Phantoms of Monsters Radio, where the veil between the known and the unknown
2:14
is lifted one story at a time. I welcome you and all our listeners as well as the
2:20
first timers in the chat. I u I hope that you find tonight's subject and
2:25
reports interesting. Now, uh, the Appalachian Mountains, long
2:33
veiled in mystery and folklore, have once again delivered a chilling bounty of unexplained encounters. From the deep
2:41
howls of Kentucky to the misty ridges of North Georgia and the wilds of western
2:46
North Carolina, these recent and historical witness
2:52
eyewitness reports stitched together a patchwork of terror, primal awe, and
2:57
ancient whispers. Locals and longtime residents, many deeply rooted in the region for
3:03
generations, are speaking out about what they've seen, felt, and feared.
3:10
Among the reports are chilling descriptions of upright wolf-like beings, pale gray humanoids with
3:16
unnatural cadence and behavior and massive white furred creatures
3:21
resembling a crypted Sasquatch. In multiple accounts, glowing yellow
3:27
eyes pierce the darkness and the sounds of babies crying or guttural humanlike
3:32
screams lure the unsuspecting into dangerous territory. These aren't just
3:38
isolated tales. Multiple witnesses, sometimes years apart, describe nearly
3:44
identical experiences, suggesting a persistent, possibly interdimensional
3:49
presence. One story centers around a family picnic
3:54
interrupted by a bipeedal whiteird creature seen hurling tree limbs in
3:59
frustration. Another follows a retired teacher who repeatedly en encountered a
4:04
massive black panther accompanied by a kitten creatures denied by wildlife
4:10
officials baked the native lore. Other reports involve battling uh vanishing
4:17
cattle, strange power draining zones in areas so heavy with dread that seasoned
4:22
hunters and outdoorsmen refuse to return. These aren't the tales of thrillseeking
4:28
adventures or out of town or spooked by backcountry sounds. These are the
4:33
confessions of rural families, local government officials, hunters, and children who have grown up side by side
4:41
with the forest. And many of them now believe they've glimpsed the side of Appalachia that's not only ancient, but
4:49
otherworldly. Now uh please support the channel by clicking on the subscribe and like

6:13
states, "These two incidents occurred nearly a decade apart, and for obvious reasons, I cannot guarantee they are
6:20
related. However, it seems reasonable to at least entertain that idea."
6:27
The first story takes place at my cousin's trailer a few houses down from mine. We live in a rural town at the
6:34
foot of the Appalachia Mountains in southwest Virginia, surrounded by plenty of forest. One night, we were playing
6:41
hideand seek and everything was going well until I tagged my cousin, making him the seeker. He hated seeking, so
6:48
instead of playing the game, he decided to quit and sit on the front porch. It was around midnight, maybe a bit
6:54
earlier, and and naturally, it was pitch black outside, perfect for scaring someone.
7:01
My cousin's friend, my brother, and I devised a plan to get revenge on my cousin for being a sore loser. We
7:08
decided to lure him to the edge of the forest where my brother would jump out at him. A very simple plan for a couple
7:15
of dumb 13 years olds, but we were deter determined.
7:20
We managed to convince my cousin that noises were coming from the woods. So, he reluctantly joined us in the
7:26
investigation. I mean, joined us to investigate. As we walked along the edge of the
7:31
forest, I noticed something moving inside and my cousin's friend and I exchanged grins, thinking it was my
7:36
brother. Then, out of nowhere, my brother burst the side of my cousin's trailer,
7:42
screaming and roaring, sending us all in a panic. He got us so good that we completely
7:48
forgot about the noise coming from the forest, which could no longer be attributed to him.
7:53
As we were laughing about the scare, we suddenly heard a horrifying noise coming from the depths of the forest behind us.
8:00
It sounded like a man screaming for help. The pitch gradually changed, and to this day, I swear it said, "Help."
8:07
After about 5 seconds of those humanlike screams, it transformed into the most guttural roar I've ever heard. It was
8:14
chilling. We ran inside and my cousin opened the blinds to the window. It was
8:20
then that we noticed the haunting sight of a full moon shouting above us. Yes,
8:26
we couldn't figure out what we could have made what could have made that noise. Now, there are farms around. It
8:31
could have been a cow make being attacked by coyus or something else typical of rural America.
8:38
But I've never heard anything like this before or since. Now, jump forward about nine years to 2013.
8:45
One late night while driving home from work, I spotted two bright orange eyes peering at me from the side of the dark
8:51
road. I thought it might have been a fox or a dog, but as I got closer, I realized it was no average fox or dog.
8:58
It was a massive wolflike creature. This animal was so tall on all fours that it
9:03
seemed almost as tall as my car. Its back legs were long and muscular, almost
9:08
kangaroo like, while the front legs were short and thin. It dashed across the road in front of my car, jumping the
9:15
fence to the left of the road with incredible ease. When I got home, I casually told my family that I had
9:21
finally seen the werewolf that made that noise so many years ago. I don't necessarily believe that it's an actual
9:28
werewolf, but I can't honestly say that it isn't. Anyway, I thought you might enjoy these strange stories. keeping
9:35
keen eye out on the full moon nights.
9:45
Now, this next account, the witness states, "This was back in the days when cars are a luxury few could afford in
9:51
the Appalachian region of North Georgia. My greatgrandfather's friend was
9:56
relatively well off by the standards of the time and owned a horse. One hot summer day, we decided to ride
10:03
his horse along the lonely stretch of state highway that cut through the countryside.
10:09
The road divided an old farm property in half. On the left side stood a barn, and
10:15
on the right side was an old farmhouse that had been abandoned for several years. Surrounding the property were
10:21
tall, swinging cornfields. As he approached the farmhouse, he suddenly felt an eerie sense of unease,
10:28
but didn't think much of it until he heard a baby crying from inside the house.
10:35
There was no car in the driveway, no open door, and no lights on. He wondered if the crying baby indicated that
10:41
someone, a young mother on the run, or perhaps a kidnapper, was hiding inside. Concerned, he rode his horse up to the
10:48
driveway, tied it off, and walked up the walkway toward the front door.
10:53
He was halfway to the house when the crying abruptly stopped. He paused and just as he did, the sound started again,
11:00
but this time it was coming from the barn. Assuming it was just the wind, he retraced his steps and headed back
11:06
across the highway, leaving his horse behind as he made his way through the corn toward the barn. As he was about
11:13
halfway there, he glanced up and saw nothing unusual inside. But just then, the crying stopped again. Moments later,
11:21
it resumed. this time coming from the house. In a sudden burst of fear, he rushed
11:27
back through the corn to his horse. He was acting agitated, nighing, and stomping, which was unlike the gentle
11:33
older horse. My great-grandfather's friend later told my grandfather that it was the only time in the horse's life
11:39
that he had the spirit to gallop away, and it did so without any further coaxing.
11:51
Now, this next account, the witness states, "When I was in seventh grade in Eastern Tennessee, I was outside with my
11:57
dog, lying on a dirt mountain, watching the clouds to pass the time. It was
12:02
around 5:30 p.m. when my dog started barking and pulling at her leash. We
12:08
lived in the countryside, surrounded by woods on one side of our house. I tried to call my beagle, but she kept
12:14
insisting. I stood up and looked in the direction she was focused on and said, "Look, there isn't anything there." As I
12:22
spoke, a large black creature with a canned body sprinted out of the woods.
12:27
The creature had thin fur that was so black it appeared to have pearlescent hue to it with almost a purple tint. Its
12:35
eyes were mid-shade of yellow. The creature's legs were crooked backward and its hands were long and slender. It
12:42
stood about 7 feet tall on its highind legs. Then it dropped to all fours. Its back had an aggressive hunch, yet it
12:49
moved with fluid grace. Every step seemed pre-calculated. As it sprinted,
12:55
it tilted its head toward me as if aware of my presence, but indifferent to it.
13:01
Then, without much effort, it jumped over a 4-foot cattle fence. Now, as a senior in high school, I had
13:08
another experience. Just last summer, I was working with my with my father in
13:13
his shed where he worked on motors and various projects. I had left my phone
13:18
inside, and since my friend was staying the night, we headed back down to the shed to retrieve it. It was around 1000
13:25
p.m. pitch black in the same time of year as my previous encounter. While standing outside the front of the
13:31
shed, trying to fit the key into the keyhole, we heard a rustling sound coming from the brush in the woods. It
13:38
was faint, resembling the sound of a breeze moving through the leaves.
13:43
Both my friend and I heard it, so we turned our flashlights toward the bush, wanted to see the pitch black shape
13:49
standing among the light foliage. The yellow eyes haunt me every time I
13:54
recall that moment. My friend said, "You see that right?" At that point, I had already started sprinting towards the
14:01
house. Seeing that creature and realizing was just watching us completely shattered my
14:06
composure. It was so silent. I had a mental breakdown as soon as I stepped inside the house. I've never reacted so
14:13
intensely to anything before. From then on, every time I went into the woods, I felt as if something was watching me. I
14:20
know this sounds crazy and I understand that people don't believe me. It's been difficult to share this experience and
14:26
this is the first time I've ever tried to reach out in search of similar encounters.
14:35
Now, not too long ago, I received a telephone call from TWW,
14:40
who was a retired teacher and well-credentialed local government employee who had also involved in social
14:47
work in Caldwell County, North Carolina. Now, TWW had been a reader of Phantoms
14:52
of Monsters for some time, had watched my video presentations, so he felt comfortable reaching out to
14:58
me about his encounters. Beginning in the spring of 2004, TWW
15:04
sensed that something was watching him when he took his pitbull outside to do its business during the early morning.
15:11
His dog was watching or acting nervous and walking and excuse me and waking
15:16
TWW. So he obliged and accompanied the dog outdoors. Living in the foothills of western North
15:22
Carolina mountains, there's natural pres predators that inhabit the area and he was always armed with a pistol.
15:30
So, one particular early morning while walking along his driveway with his dog, he noticed what he initially thought was
15:36
a black plastic trash bag at the end of the driveway. Now, TWW found this
15:42
unusual because none of his neighbors lived nearby and he and his wife maintained a tidy residence.
15:50
As he approached the object, it began to move, then rise off the driveway, ultimately transforming into a large
15:57
black panther with bright yellow eyes. A panther kitten accompanied the big cat.
16:03
At that moment, his dog cowered behind TWW. After lifting itself off the driveway, the black panther and the
16:09
kitten slowly retreated into the brush. On subsequent occasions, TWW saw the
16:15
same black panther and kitten on multiple early mornings between 3 and 4:00 a.m. Concerned, he contacted the
16:21
North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission to inquire about the crypted feline and was informed that there are
16:27
no such species of black panther inhabiting North Carolina. Later, as a social worker, TWW learned
16:34
from a supervisor that multiple caregivers had ceased assisting an older woman living in the nearby mountains.
16:40
They were alarmed by sightings of large black panthers during their visits. The supervisor asked TWW if he would visit
16:48
the location. So TWW recalled that his father had previously mentioned encountering black
16:54
panthers while hunting. On several occasions, the hunters claimed to have shot at these big cats, insisting that
17:00
they had hit them, but the creatures showed no effect. Due to the continued sightings in his
17:06
father's account, TWW suspected that these encounters might be related to portal openings or other unknown un
17:13
supernatural phenomena. He noted that multiple indigenous
17:18
tribes, particularly the Cherokee and Ohari people, historically inhabited the area and suspected that these creatures
17:24
might be associated with tribal lore and religion manifesting as a result of these practices.
17:31
Before the Black Panther activity, there had been regular instances of loud booms emanating from the foothills and
17:37
surrounding area, leading TWW to wonder if there was a connection. Now, as a faithful Christian, TWW
17:44
decided to take matters in his own hand. He tells me that one early morning, he
17:50
again observed the black panther and kitten. He prayed, rebuked the creature, and asked to leave his property and not
17:56
return in the future. And since that night, the Black Panther has not been seen.
18:02
Now, I informed TWW that I would make inquiries about his claims. Many of my
18:08
ancestors lived in Mitchell County, North Carolina, and I've heard numerous stories of crypted sightings throughout
18:14
my life, and the southern Appalachian people, both indigenous and settlers, have passed down many intriguing tales
18:20
of encounters with unknown creatures and other supernatural events which have continued into modern times.
18:27
If you are interested in researching these tribal peoples and traditions, you can find resources like indigenous
18:33
peoples of North Carolina website which is very helpful.
18:42
I hope the sound's coming pretty good. I had some issues with the internet earlier, but we'll keep on going here.
18:50
This next witness states, "Hello. When I was little, my family owned a cabin on a lake in rural Appalachian uh Kentucky.
19:00
I was quite It was quite remote at the time, though it had become more heavily developed over the past 10 years.
19:07
Whenever we visited the cabin, we often went for picnics in a huge field at the edge of a farmer's property. Now, one
19:14
day, we set up our picnic spot at the crest of a very steep hill. At the
19:19
bottom of the hill, the the field met the tree line of a large forest. Now, I was too young to remember everything
19:25
that happened, but this is what my sister and parents told me.
19:31
Now, while we were sitting in the field eating, my dad heard a loud banging come from the bottom of the hill where the trees met the field.
19:39
He walked to the crest of the hill and saw an enormous white creature standing on two feet, taking large logs and
19:46
throwing them over his head to bang him against tree trunks, creating a loud noise.
19:52
He showed my mom and she saw it too. We decided to pack up and leave because
19:57
they were creeped out by the sight. Now, my parents are very sane and rational people, so they never really talked
20:04
about it out of fear of sounding insane. No one wants to claim they saw a Bigfoot.
20:10
So about four years ago, we were having Christmas with my aunt and her family who also frequented the cabin at the
20:16
same lake. We started talking about the cabin and sharing memories when my aunt
20:21
mentioned she had an unbelievable story she had never shared with anyone besides my uncle.
20:27
She would often go blackberry picking in the fall to make her wild blackberry jam.
20:32
One day, she thought she saw a bear in the distance eating blackberries, which scared her. However, she continued
20:38
picking and watching it for a while. Eventually, the creature she thought was a bear stood up, revealing its white
20:46
coat of hair and walked again away on two legs into the woods. Naturally, we
20:52
immediately shared our story, and everyone was in awe that we had seen the same thing around the same time in the
20:57
late 1980s. I decided to do a little research and it turns out there were numerous sightings
21:03
of this creature in the late 1980s. Someone was so convinced that what he
21:09
saw was a Bigfoot that he dedicated the rest of his life to finding it again. If you look it up, you'll find numerous
21:16
reports of people who saw this creature around the time my family did. Now, I'm
21:21
not sure I believe that this person found Bigfoot again, but he claims he encountered three of them together. two
21:27
large brown ones, one with thick and one with thick white fur, which matches the
21:32
exact description confirmed independent upon my parents and my aunt. I don't know. I don't really know what
21:39
to think. The irrational part of me knows this probably wasn't a Bigfoot, but I respect my family's sanity and
21:44
intellect, and everyone was convinced that that they what they saw was not a
21:50
bear. It was covered in thick white fur and walked on two legs. I'm uncertain of
21:55
how that can be explained away.
22:01
Now, I recently received an account from a colleague in Frankfurt, Kentucky, who
22:07
investigated an incident regard uh involving missing cattle. He forwarded
22:13
an original email from 2019 that he received from the client, and to this day, there has been no resolution
22:19
regarding the missing cattle. So, the email read, "My husband and I live on a family farm of about 100 acres
22:27
where we raised cattle. My dad grew up here and my grandpa lived and worked this land until the day he died.
22:34
I know every inch of it and have never felt scared walking the farm or surrounding land. A few months ago, one
22:41
of our cattle disappeared. She had a calf and if you're familiar with cattle, you know, it's pretty unusual for a cow
22:48
to leave her calf. Our fam, our farm is located in the Appalachian foothills of
22:54
Kentucky, which has quite a few hollers. We figured the cow must have gone down
23:01
into the hollard and died in the brush somewhere or wandered into a neighbor's field. My husband searched diligently,
23:07
but never found her. Nobody, no trace. Absolutely no evidence of that cow.
23:13
Now, on the day she went missing, there were also strange spots in the grass on of the field where the ground was
23:18
flattened, almost like something had pressed down on it. Oddly, two vehicles ran out of
23:24
gas right near these spots. I thought it was just weird, spooky coincidence until
23:30
today. Today, my favorite cow also went m missing. My husband's sister and I spent
23:37
about 5 hours searching for her. We combed through every inch of the fields, searching the hollers and checked the
23:44
neighbors fields. There was no sign of her. She also had a calf and was known
23:49
for being a good mother, so it was perplexing that she was gone while the calf remained there.
23:55
I initially thought she had wandered into the neighbors of cornfield or possibly been stolen, which seemed
24:00
strange since she was an older cow and the only one missing. While searching for the missing cow
24:06
around 6:30 to 7 pm, my sister and I decided to check a piece of land we
24:11
don't own. It juts in between our two fields and is almost is mostly wooden uh
24:18
wooded, excuse me, bordered by bordered by a barbed wire fence. I knew our cows
24:24
sometimes crossed over, so I just wanted to look there. My sister and I are both in our late 20s
24:30
and grew up exploring the woods. We hunted, climbed waterfalls, dodged snakes, and pulled ticks off ourselves.
24:37
At that moment, nothing scared us, or so I thought. I crossed over the barred wire, but my sister hesitated and stayed
24:44
back, which was unusual for her. I teased her for being cautious, reminding her I'd been there before, and it
24:51
wouldn't lead her into any danger. Yet, she continued to stall, and I eventually
24:56
got short with her and told her to come on. She crossed the fence but kept stopping.
25:03
When I finally caught up to her, I started feeling uneasy. The only way I can describe it is it felt dark. My
25:10
sister complained she couldn't hear me even though I was speaking loudly and was only 2 feet away at most.
25:17
We finally decided to turn around and quickly leave the area. Once we crossed back over the barb wire, the bad feeling
25:24
dissipated. A few hours later, my sister went home feeling unusually tired. I texted her to
25:31
ask if she thought the woods felt all. She responded saying she was terrified the whole time. Here's a quote from her
25:38
text. It was like we were going down a dark path to nowhere. I like to explore,
25:44
but it didn't feel right. It gives me chills and almost makes me cry thinking about it. So, I just told myself it was
25:51
I was psyching myself out. It was right when we passed the fence
25:57
like we were somewhere we shouldn't have been. I was scared. I trust you and
26:02
everything, but of course, but the feeling I got standing and looking into the woods was telling me not to go, not
26:08
to cross the fence. The further we went, the worse it got with the dark shadow of
26:14
something screaming at my insides telling me to go back. Afterwards, I had
26:19
a heavy feeling that made me so tired. Now, this all happened. This all
26:25
happened this evening, and we still haven't found the cow or any sign of her. I feel a lingering sense of dread
26:32
from being in those woods, and I find myself feeling jumpy and exhausted. I was advised to reach out because I
26:38
believe something supernatural or otherwise is happening. I can honestly say I've never experienced anything like
26:44
this in my life, and I've never seen my sister so scared, which made me even
26:49
more uneasy. Now, as I mentioned earlier, after 5 years,
26:56
there had been no trace of the missing cattle, and the client remains cautious
27:01
about the wooded area surrounded by the bar barbwire fence. Despite extensive research and investigation, no tangible
27:07
evidence beyond strange feelings reported by the owner and the investigator have ever been discovered.
27:24
So, this incident took place in the summer of 2003 when I was 13 years old during one of my
27:31
stays at a YMCA camp in North Georgia near Lake M. One evening, I was assigned the task of
27:38
cleaning up the rifle range away from the camp because the counselors hadn't done it due to a thunderstorm.
27:44
As I w was walking up to the range, I heard some rustling, but didn't think much of it since we were in the Blue
27:51
Ridge Mountains, part of the Appalachian. I walked onto the new range platform and
27:57
started picking up brass shells I could find. Now, after a few minutes, I continued
28:03
hearing rustling near a tree trunk. At first, I shrugged it off and then I noticed that the sound resembled
28:09
footsteps, not like those of a deer or other normal forest critter.
28:16
I also heard some odd chattering that I assume was coming from the fellow from a fellow camper. I walked toward the trail
28:23
leading to the field, realizing the noise was indeed coming from the direction of the tree trunk.
28:29
Now, as I approached the tree, I saw what appeared to be a pale gray human-like being rifling through the
28:35
underbrush and mumbling in a raspy voice with an odd cadence.
28:41
I cautiously moved closer and accidentally kicked the pine cone, which made a significant noise as it traveled
28:47
through the undergrowth. The thing turned to look at me. It had dark, sunken black eyes, thin lips, and a
28:53
normall-looking human nose, and patches of hair. What struck me the most was it
28:59
shocked expression at look seeing me. We locked eyes for what felt like an
29:04
attorney. It then stepped back bipedily with about 10 steps while all while
29:10
maintaining eye contact with me, dropped on all fours and ran into the forest.
29:16
Naturally, I was terrified and ran back to my cabin to tell my counselors. They all joined me as we walked back to the
29:24
range to investigate. We found barefoot prints and candy wrappers scattered around, but they dismissed it all as my
29:31
imagination.
29:39
Now, this next account, the witness states, "This is not a report about a flying
29:45
craft. Instead, it's a personal account of an experience that happened to me and a coworker on a warm summer night that
29:51
changed my perspective. We were working the late shift at a
29:56
restaurant on June 1st, 1997. Now, after our shift ended in the early morning
30:01
hours, we talked in the parking lot and tossed around a football I had in the car for a while.
30:08
I was driving him to his house in Madison. As we traveled down US 119 near
30:14
South Charleston, West Virginia, we noticed that there was never any traffic on the road at that hour. Typically, we
30:21
would stop at the gas station, but to our surprise, the 24-hour gas station was closed. We speculated that the clerk
30:27
was probably taking a nap. Now, as we continued driving, I suddenly remarked that the car was on the wrong
30:34
side of the road. It its lights were off and it was parked
30:40
facing us on the four-lane road. My coworker mentioned that his dad used to work at a nearby coal mine. And after
30:47
that, I sort of blacked out. When I came to, I realized our car was going about 10 mph on a 55 mph road. The gas pedal
30:55
was no longer pressed down. I asked him what had happened, but he couldn't remember what he was he was saying. I
31:04
pointed out our low speed in the strange position of the parked car, and he commented that it felt weird and he felt
31:09
funny. Now, we spent the rest of the drive home talking about something else. Now, when
31:15
we arrived at his house, I noticed that the sun was starting to rise. I remarked that it wasn't time for sunrise yet. He
31:22
agreed and we both assumed the time must have changed. His wife told us that the
31:28
time changed in the summer and thought it was crazy. Being a young adult living
31:34
at home, I called my mom to inform her that I'd be late. Somehow, we had lost
31:39
45 minutes to an hour that night. The next day at work, my coworker refused to
31:44
talk about it and tried to brush it off as a joke. Now, years later, I ran into him again
31:50
and asked about that night. He said, "I don't know what happened to us out there, but something did."
31:57
I can assure you that it was a genuine experience and we were both afraid to discuss it. Over time, I've forgotten
32:04
the exact date and times of when we left work and arrived at his house. One thing I know for sure is that the lost hour of
32:12
my life had did happen and I don't wish to feel that way again.
32:19
So folks, if you have any questions or any comments or anything, feel free to comment and let me know. Put it up there
32:25
and uh Kevin will send it over to me.
32:45
Got anything folks?
32:55
Uh, race fan, if you're suffering from lost time and you your butt hurts, then you were
33:03
abducted. Uh, I I don't necessarily believe all that, but I I guess in some cases that
33:11
may be true, but uh,
33:16
you know, I I I have had a lot of lost time. uh reports come into me over the
33:22
years and um I I I do truly do believe some of them are abductees.
33:28
Uh, but I think there could be other instances, possibly portals or something happening or, you know, I don't know,
33:33
maybe even a medical thing. Who knows?
33:40
Let's see. Paranormalism net, have you seen any reports or photographs of black
33:46
panther type creatures with humanlike faces? You know, I had I had a a large feline
33:56
sighting down in Florida. I remember years ago. Uh it was bipedal, too, and it had a
34:02
human face. But other than that, as far as Black Panthers, I I don't know.
34:08
I don't know.
34:13
Alistister B. Lawn, do you still go on ghost investigations? Yeah, if there's a
34:19
case um it's not too far from me, I'll go. I mean, I do several ca I've done
34:25
several cases around here where I live at, even many in Gettysburg over the years. I don't always report them. I
34:32
mean, you know, most times it it it's usually just something
34:37
that's not even paranormal. Uh, but occasionally I'll get something, but yeah, I I do cases all the time.
34:45
Abdalah is the aliens phenomena related to the
34:51
antichrist in Yend days. I have no idea. Uh
34:59
if anybody has any thoughts on that, put it up there in the chat. But uh I don't
35:06
I don't I don't know if it does or not. I I personally don't believe it does, but who knows?
35:17
Uh, let's see. Kurt W75, what your thoughts on a gifting chair
35:23
for Bigfoot Lon? I've heard for and against it. I just wanted to see what
35:29
you thought. Um,
35:35
I don't have much issue with the gifting though. I have never used it. I mean, I' I've
35:41
been on investigations where others have. Um, this investigation I'm uh involved
35:48
with with uh Tim I mean uh Dave Scott and Tim James out in BC.
35:54
Uh they are gifting and something keeps taking and bringing things back even
36:00
while they're there. So I I don't think it's a Bigfoot but it
36:06
may be something else. Um, but I don't, you know, I I really don't have much
36:12
thought about gifting. I I, you know, I have heard people discuss it and talk about it. I know there's several
36:17
investigators that don't even think about doing it. Um, but I I have I have
36:23
been a part of teams that have done it.
36:30
Can Squatch, any reports from hikers or campers on the Appalachian Trail years ago? There were a few murders on there.
36:36
Yeah, I mean there have been um I know here in Pennsylvania there have been at least two of them over the years. Uh
36:43
people go missing. Uh down in uh Virginia in the uh George Washington National
36:50
Forest, there have been some incidents. I know at least one death there and uh
36:56
another missing person. It does happen. Um I I don't know what the date was.
37:02
That one in Pennsylvania was up near uh Duchanan up near Harrisburg
37:09
where just before it goes across the um the walkway over across the the the
37:15
river across the Suscuana, but that was many years ago.
37:21
I I I'd say to anybody and Mara who's in the chat who's one of the moderators, I
37:27
think she'd agree. You just watch yourself when you're out there. and it doesn't seem right. Take heed.
37:38
Don Moore, do you think that one creature was a crawler rake or maybe the pulloff creature which is 7 to 8 to 11
37:46
feet no hair and fast like a crawler? Uh, it could have been I,
37:54
you know, this whole crawler phenomena is just it's just so strange to me. Even though
38:00
I wrote about it, I I still don't understand it, but we still get reports. Um,
38:08
I I I definitely feel they're supernatural. I don't think they're but I think they're also, you know, corore
38:15
corporeal as well. I mean, there there is some flesh and blood involved there. I mean, it's a physical being.
38:23
Are they portal travelers? Possibly. Are they, you know, what are they? We just don't know. Um, but
38:31
it it still confounds me.
38:37
Paula S. Lon, great stories tonight. Why do you suppose Appalachia has so much activity? It's so congested there with
38:44
cryptids. Um, those mountains, I mean, from Georgia up
38:51
to Maine have always had a lot of activity. I It's just embedded in the area. I mean, uh, even during the Civil
38:59
War, there were reports of strange things in those mountains. I had family that lived in those mountains, and they
39:05
reported a lot of weird things. There were a lot of stories that came out of there. I had no idea. It's just like a
39:11
lot of other places that are hotspots. Could it be an energy source? Could it be a magnetic or geomagnetic source
39:19
that's causing this? I don't know. It's possible. Um, you know, I think just like
39:25
Gettysburg, I think that there's a geomagnetic reason why so much activity is there.
39:33
So, um, it could be that, but it's just like a lot of other places, you know, the
39:39
Appalachians and even the Blue Ridge and and and South Ridge in Pennsylvania going up into the Laurel Highlands.
39:45
There are a lot of places there are a lot of um a lot of weird activity but it usually
39:52
involves mountains and and valleys.
39:58
Paranormalism net has there been any evidence of actual lycanthropy human
40:03
transformation into an animal involved in dog men or werewolf sightings in present day?
40:10
Well, nothing that can be proven. I mean, there are a lot of theories. Um,
40:15
I I think around here in particular, here in P South Central Pennsylvania, in
40:21
particularly down in Maryland, um, there have been some weird sightings of
40:28
cryptic. In fact, we're working on one now, which happened uh near Columbia,
40:33
Maryland. And there have been several sightings of this aggressive
40:40
crypted canine. one broke into a house and another one that and when I get my blog back I'll write about it but um
40:48
it it happened in near an apartment complex in Colombia and this um
40:55
this woman saw it while she had her dog out and this creature was white in
41:01
color. It was about 78 foot tall and uh she backed up and got into her home back
41:07
into her apartment and the thing followed her and tried to get into the door.
41:13
So um you know this is something we're looking into. I talked to the witness, Rissa
41:20
talked to the witness. She's going out there uh and uh investigated as well. So
41:26
this is going to be something we're going to be looking into a little bit more. And I'm familiar with the area because I used to work near there. So,
41:33
uh, yeah, I know that area pretty well. Can any weird cave stories from
41:40
Appalachia? Yeah. Uh, in, uh, southwest Virginia, there
41:46
have been some sightings in some of the caves of, um, what people would call
41:52
feral humans, possibly crawler humanoids. There have been a couple of
41:57
those. Um but southwest southwest Virginia even
42:05
into the other side into West Virginia there's a lot of caves there a lot of caverns in that area too. So, um,
42:12
you know, you can almost find anything I I I believe in in one of those areas, but, uh, there have been some sightings
42:18
of some type of humanoids.
42:28
Magnus Lon, are you familiar with Pennsylvania German folklore of the hexen wolf? Yes, I am. Thoughts on this
42:35
and the duo and upright canines historically? Well, what happened was um you know when
42:42
the uh Pennsylvania Dutch for the most part or the later Germans who had come
42:47
into Pennsylvania and Lancaster and York County and other areas, they uh they set
42:52
their farms up, but many of them eventually moved down into Maryland in um in Frederick,
43:01
Alageney County, and some were also in Carroll County, Washington County. But anyway,
43:10
over the years there have been what they these crypted canine sightings and the name they gave it was the duo and it's
43:16
something I've talked about before. We've had several sightings. It's they're still continuing on.
43:22
The hexen wolf that's another name they give it. Um
43:27
but it it's traditional. I mean it's something that you know I think a lot of
43:33
people when they saw something weird like that thought back to the old world where you know of course there were a
43:39
lot of werewolf tales and the hex and wolf tales and things is that so um but
43:46
Frederick County in particular has had a lot of sightings and it's it's mostly farmers and those sightings go back into
43:54
the late 1800s.
44:02
peace. Do you know of a human being saved by a Bigfoot? Yeah, I've had a couple of
44:08
accounts of people saying they were saved by Bigfoot. Um,
44:14
couple kids who say that Bigfoot saved them when they got lost in the forest.
44:20
You hear a lot of different tales. Uh, do I believe them? Yeah, I think there's a possibility.
44:26
Um, many times these are female Bigfoot according to the witnesses or if it's a
44:32
kid in particular and I guess that maternal instinct kicks in with them and uh but there have been cases over the
44:40
years I mean throughout in particular the United States. So, um, yeah,
44:47
there have been I had a I had a um I had a report given to me from New Mexico
44:54
near the Texas border where a uh a female Navajo lady um
45:03
had an encounter with uh she was what happened was she was on an old porch of
45:10
a house that was behind her residence and it was abandoned house and the porch
45:15
itself had a lot of loose boards and nails and stuff and she was walking on there barefoot and ripped her foot up
45:22
with on a nail or a board and she was sitting there crying and this Bigfoot
45:29
according to her reached out, picked her up and carried her home. Um, and I've heard similar stories in
45:36
the past as well. So, uh, yeah, there there's some stories out there.
45:45
Can Squatch any fair or little people folklore from the European settlers in Appalachia?
45:51
Well, you know, the early settlers in Appalachia, particularly in West Virginia and a little bit further down
45:57
into uh northern uh North Carolina. Most of those were
46:03
Scots. there was a lot of Scots that uh moved in there uh at the turn of the
46:10
century and and you know that's I think all well there's a lot there was a lot of Germans as well but there were a lot
46:16
of Scots do I you know and you do hear a lot of stories about fa and and little people
46:24
and is it something that's indicative of their culture I I guess it probably could but I have heard the stories I
46:30
mean you know um and in fact some of the sighting
46:35
near Point Pleasant in Mason County of the Moth Man also included some small
46:41
humanoid sightings, occasional sightings that people would report as well. So, I
46:47
mean, is it connected to the moth manager, connected to some something else? I don't know. But there have been
46:53
reports
47:05
Alistister B line, any thought on our stories of witch encounters?
47:11
Yeah, over I mean there have been a lot of witch encounters particularly around here. I mean you know you hear them all
47:16
the time. Um my colleague Rissa, she has
47:22
looked into a lot of that historical wise of the region. Um,
47:29
you know, I I Pennsylvania I I don't think you can go too far without tripping over a witch or a witch story.
47:36
So, uh, but there have been a lot of reports over the years.
47:50
Anything else, folks?
47:56
Okay. Well, I want to thank each and all of you for watching and chatting. If you donate is truly appreciated and your support's what makes all this possible.
