I've got a fun little challenge for you

kind of more of a game. If you've ever seen the guessing games

where you have to guess how many candies are in a jar, we're gonna do something really similar

but with our pumpkin patch. Hello, my friends, welcome back to Pantry Preparedness

Every year, we like to grow about as many pumpkins as we feasibly can, and the reason for that

is that at Halloween, which is like my wife's favorite holiday, at Halloween we love to throw a bit of a party

We like to invite everybody over, family, friends, neighbors, anybody that wants to comes

and we just have some fun activities and some fun games and freshly pressed apple cider, homemade root beer

lots of other treats and stuff, but also we do pumpkin painting

and we provide all the pumpkins for all of the kids that wanna come and paint their own pumpkin

and we don't like to just stick with regular pumpkins. We like to do some fun varieties

and so what we started doing a few years back was planting about as many pumpkins as we could

Now here, this is our little pumpkin patch. Now, I call it little

That's because I've been to real pumpkin patches. I've been out to the farms

and I've picked pumpkins from the pumpkin patches, and ours is little, but it's a little bit bigger

than what most people are growing in their backyard. So here's the challenge for you today

This is a space. It's about 27 feet by 48 feet, and we've just planted a whole bunch of different pumpkins

of all sorts of different varieties, and the challenge is for you to guess

how many pumpkins are in the pumpkin patch. Right now, I have no idea what the right answer is

We're not gonna find out for probably the next week or two when we're gonna be able to get over there

and start harvesting all of these pumpkins. We like to have them all harvested basically

for as much of the month of October as possible so we can use them for decoration, and then we have tons available and ready

when we have our party. So here's how this is gonna work. For everyone who's subscribed to the channel

Now, I've got this footage here so you can kind of start to get an idea

but the big pumpkins are a little more spread out. The little pumpkins, they come in bunches

You're gonna get a whole bunch usually close together, and those little ones are deceiving

Oftentimes, we start picking those or cutting them off really, and we think we're all done

and we go through and we find a whole bunch more. So anyway, I guess I'm probably giving you

too many hints here. But in the next couple weeks, we're gonna pick all these, we're gonna lay them all out

we'll count them, we'll take a big picture, and whichever one of you who's subscribed to the channel

who guessed the closest will win. What will you win? You may be asking

I know it's not like a huge prize. It's mostly for fun. We just wanna like have some fun with you
