So today I want to talk about how you're going to prevent yourself from sabotaging all the hard work that you've done
0:07
And if you're looking to unsabotage and get on track, visit us at www.fitclub.fit
0:13
So there's a couple things that I want to tell you. First, we need to find out what triggers you
0:17
We need you to stop comparing yourself and we need you to set some realistic goals
0:21
So when it comes to triggers, we have to understand that the weekends or, you know, stress or whatever
0:29
it is, there's something that is creating us to eat past what our goals allow us
0:37
So for instance, I do this thing called a bellyburn challenge. So if you've done it with us, you know what I'm talking about
0:43
If not, it's 28 days of accountability. Now, once in a while, I will have somebody weigh in every single day
0:49
Okay. And the trend that I see with the people that I get them to weigh in is that Monday through
0:55
Friday is that the weight continuously goes down. Okay. Now, Saturday hits and Sunday's weigh in, it's up by about five or six pounds
1:06
So in that time frame, something happened. Okay. And that means that something triggered us to
1:15
dive into the carbs or dive into the booze or something that's making us retain water temporarily
1:21
We get back on track and the weight continuously drops down And so if you bored the best thing that I would tell you is to find something that occupies the time that isn revolved around eating or drinking
1:36
So for instance, Friday nights are generally times when I get bored
1:41
And so me and some of the boys have set up Friday night tennis. And so we're being active
1:47
We're out there. We're enjoying ourselves. And so by the time we're done with this tennis, you take a shower, you get ready for bed, and then you go to some
1:55
sleep. And so that's one day averted. So for you, it might be something different where instead of
2:01
Friday, you have, uh, you know, a get together with your friends. Why don't you guys maybe plan
2:06
some type of activity that involves you going out something like activate. I'm sure you can get
2:12
creative. If you're a social person, you know what I'm talking about. The second thing is that we need
2:17
to stop comparing ourselves to others because you have your goal. You work at your pace. And then you also
2:25
need to understand that no one's perfect. Now somebody that it could be 50 pounds heavier than you
2:33
and they're just getting into the fitness like world. They're just starting working out and maybe that
2:38
you get put into the same group as them and you're watching this person continuously losing weight and
2:44
having that type of success. And then it makes you question like I'm working my butt off. I'm eating
2:49
super clean. I've been doing this for two or three years now. Why is it that this person is just starting out
2:55
and they losing five to 10 pounds per month You cannot compare the two That would be like comparing your son or an eight to a pro athlete that been playing hockey for 20 years and saying
3:08
my son goes to the rink every single day and he doesn't have the same success as that person playing hockey
3:15
So you cannot compare yourself to anybody else. What I would tell you is that you want to be able to use them as motivation, whether it be positive or negative
3:25
positive meaning like, hey, like, I'm so proud of your journey. I want to continue to push myself
3:31
Why don't we work out together? Or the other side where it's like, okay, like I see what you're doing
3:38
I'm going to do that. And I'm actually going to work harder so that I can get those types of results myself
3:44
That would be kind of like the negative, right? But either way, instead of comparing, use other people as a source of either inspiration
3:54
but also motivation to drive you and continue on the journey that you're going down to push you closer to the success that you're looking for
4:03
And the last but not least is that you need to set realistic goals
4:07
Just because you gain 10 pounds in a month doesn't mean that you're going to lose in a month
4:12
And we all know how easy it is to put calories in and how hard it is to burn them off
4:18
So we need to work on the whole self, meaning the mind and the body
4:24
body not just cutting out all of our calories and exercising harder Long success should be your goal Now I going to give you two bonus tips which you would get from the accountability and the coaching from the belly burn is that don try and do this alone
4:41
Because seeking support and getting it accountability, whether it be from your friends
4:47
your family, or like a nutrition professional like myself or the belly burn coaches
4:53
but having a supportive network can make all of the different. They say you are the five people that you surround yourself with
5:00
Now imagine you surrounded yourself with five people that are driven, motivated, they're
5:06
inspired, and they're doing all the right things. You're just that fifth element that they're needing
5:12
So find those people. You find your tribe. You find your vibe. And then the last but not least is that we need to explore some of your emotional
5:19
eatings because sometimes our relationship with food goes deeper than just physical hunger
5:24
Let's explore any emotional or psychological factors that may be influencing your eating habits
5:32
And then let's work on strategies to address them in a healthy way
