Made in the USA： Tour an American Whistle Factory

Welcome to Columbus, Ohio, and the American Whistle Corporation

We visited this factory 20 years ago and made a return visit just the other day

It was founded in 1956 as Kohlsoft manufacturing, changing hands only a couple of times

and most recently in January of 2018. This is the only manufacturer of metal whistles in the United States

and it goes without saying this is a unique, one-of-a-kind facility. Travel across some..

America with me. In this video, I'll take you around this small factory to see grass whistles made

At the end of the video, you'll see some videos from our tour. And I think the best part

I made moan whistle, and if you hang on to the very end, you'll hear how it sounds. Let's go on

We arrived on time for the tour. Tours must be or should be booked online, and there is a charge

Look on the website for details about tours. The tour guide we had, he was a hoot

and he made the whole thing fabulous. He was funny, I would say, one of their best employees

Please be sure to subscribe. The equipment, well, it's dated, it's ancient

but it works beautifully for this purpose. They start with coiled brass a 30 press state soldering tables and continue through the polishing process To finally putting the ball inside we see all that in a bit

Thousands of people a year tour at this wonderful facility. It's a blend of hands-on and high-tech all rolled into one

Delivering over a million whistles a year into the hands of customers like you

They sell at Walmart and to most police departments. The best whistles in the USA are made in the USA

American whistle prides itself in the finest quality whistles. They have produced classic brass whistles since 1956

and despite the high-tech innovations of the past century, high-quality whistles such as those made by the American Whistle Corporation

remain effective safety tools for everyone, both young and old. I guess that would be great to attach to your backpack

I think that's what we're going to do with one of ours, is attach it to our backpack. So you can blow it if you come across a bear

that would be a great thing to have handy. isn't it? Their most common whistle is nickel-plated, but they also have brass, bronze

and even 24-kart gold whistles. They carry a full line of whistle accessories and lanyards

They are also the only manufacturer of rubber safety tips in the United States

Protects the teeth lips from impact and extreme temperatures You don want your wet lips sticking to your whistle in the cold do you What are the sale saying Wet your whistle Well sorry Now let watch a little bit of the process that we saw along our fabulous tour

We'll get away to attack all these duck face in the same way

It will send this one over and drop it down into this opening

So this is some... just like the punch is coming down there and punching it

This one said, is that the American Spirit right there. These are for sale of Walmart

You just never know where I might be popping up. Leave a comment below

Just like the one brings in there and dropping them all down in there

Just for the vibrator. Now they are. They are. I think I put that on there when I made this video a few years ago

Because I actually are in the tour pick one of the way. Take the hump off there. Right here in this case falls in a stew and at the very bottom of it and there's one rest in

it It staged right there This cylinder will pop that forward and this cylinder is time to where I don shoot back I did it There you go Hey all right And and whee

All right, here they come. The left-house officer back. And now the final stop, everyone gets to make one or two whistles

There is a small charge. You ready? Yeah, maybe the USA goes down

That's correct. And I put the ball in there. Yeah. Yeah. Okay, so then your buttons are on both sides there and there

I mean, you just kind of grab your feeling there. Is it just holding down? You do that

You are now in a, you're a sonic laundry. You didn't even have to pull the glasses down or anything, you know

How does it feel? How do you feel being a sonic weld? Intrary. Of course it's purple and green

Wow, that's loud. Flip-flops on the ground. Unclassic road trip. Thank you for

subscribing. I hope you're enjoying all my travel videos taking you fun and exciting and

historic places
