Hi I'm Josse, I'm here today with the Redken Brews Clay Pomade and it holds my hair up pretty well
0:05
In fact it's one of the strongest clays I've seen and it smells very light, maybe even a little chocolaty
0:13
So this is a very simple, no-nonsense design, but of course it's about what's inside
0:17
And it's quite soft for a clay actually. It feels more like a paste than a clay
0:22
But it still has a really heavy hold and of course a matte finish. They say on the packet it has a gritty finish and I think that's what they mean with a textured matte hold
0:32
And because it's so soft I only have to rub it across my hand just a little bit
0:36
So it isn't very lumpy to start with like some of the other clays that I've tested
0:40
But the hold is great and I just go through my hair and make sure that's up and spiky
0:45
And push it a little to the middle. Then I just take a little bit extra and do the back and sides of my hair
0:51
Just to make sure that it stays in place all day. So this is perfect for making like a few spikes but still having a matte finish and soft hair
1:00
And I think it's also great for a little bit longer hair like here with my son's hair
1:04
I like to use a little and push his hair to the side. And it has like this nice textured messy look
1:10
And you can mold that into shape during the day after you've been working out
1:15
Or maybe playing like with my son here. So I really recommend this one for people who want a really heavy hold
1:21
But find the other clays on the market a little bit too hard
1:24
And this is a matte finish perfect for staying in a messy look or creating your very specific spikes
