Is your laptop fan making a lot of
0:02
noise? Now, if that is the case, then
0:04
you might need to go ahead and clean it.
0:07
One of the reason why your fan is making
0:09
a lot of noise or your computer is
0:11
overheating is because the fan is too
0:13
dirty or it has accumulated a lot of
0:15
dust or even blanket particles. Your
0:18
laptop fan regularly needs to be cleaned
0:20
because with time it accumulates dust
0:22
and it accumulates dirt and this dirt
0:24
blocks the airway making the laptop to
0:27
struggle. Now, the best tool to clean
0:29
your fan is having a blower. However, if
0:32
you don't have a blower, don't worry.
0:34
I'm just going to show you how you can
0:35
clean your fan just using a brush and
0:39
even toothbrush. These are all the tools
0:42
that we going to use. These two are
0:44
enough. And the best way to clean your
0:46
fan is to go inside. And to go inside,
0:48
all you need to do is to uncover this
0:50
casing just using a screwdriver. You may
0:52
want to go ahead and clean the fan using
0:55
these ventilations or these vents.
0:57
However, this will not go deep as most
0:59
of the dirt or dust accumulates inside.
1:01
So, let's get
1:03
started. Now, to begin with, just go
1:05
ahead and unscrew all the nuts, all the
1:08
screws on your laptop on top here. But
1:12
before you even do that, make sure that
1:14
you have unmounted the battery from your
1:16
laptop before you go ahead and remove
1:18
the screwdriver. So, let me remove all
1:20
of them.
1:26
So I had removed the rest and the screws
1:29
are here. So to remove the casing just
1:31
go ahead and using your fingers just go
1:34
around the edges or if you have an if
1:37
you have this remover just go ahead and
1:40
run it around the edges and it should be
1:43
able to
1:45
remove the casing. And the casing is
1:47
removed. As you can
1:49
see there is a lot of dirt around the
1:52
fan area. And this is one of the problem
1:54
that this laptop has. If I also show you
1:57
closer, you can see how dirty the fan
1:59
is. There's a lot of dirt that has
2:01
accumulated here. Unscrew the fan alone.
2:04
And the fan is here. So I'll go ahead
2:06
and unscrew
2:09
it. And it is
2:11
removed. Now we have also a cable done.
2:15
Then go ahead and unmount the cable that
2:17
is attached to the motherboard. You can
2:19
see here we have a cable from from the
2:21
fan to the motherboard. So you can just
2:24
go ahead and pull it using your fingers
2:27
by pinching at the head of it and then
2:29
pull it out. So we are done. Now if I
2:32
even touch it, you can see now our fan
2:35
is here. And indeed it is very dirt.
2:38
Look at that. That's the dirt that has
2:42
accumulated on this
2:44
fan. Once you've removed it, using your
2:47
brush, now go ahead and start cleaning
2:50
it. And there's a lot of dirt that is
2:53
coming out. Make sure you do it away
2:56
from your motherboard so
3:01
that you don't difify
3:03
everything and there's a lot of dirt
3:06
that is coming out of it. Here's where
3:08
the blower is much important. So if you
3:10
have a blower, you can now go ahead and
3:13
use it. So the advantage of the blower
3:15
is it will penetrate inside without
3:17
having to struggle. And let me just use
3:33
it. So I'll also blow
3:39
this. Again, you may want to go ahead
3:42
and brush over these vents. Have the
3:46
vents
3:47
here for the fan that is connected at
3:50
the heat sink area. So, make sure you
3:52
penetrate in using your
3:55
brush. And you can see there's a lot of
3:57
dirt that is coming out. There's a lot
3:59
of dust and even mattress particles that
4:02
are coming out. And this is what is
4:04
causing heating problem and noise
4:06
problem on this laptop. And make sure
4:09
that the ventilation or the openings are
4:11
wide open. There is no blockage. As you
4:13
can see, there is a lot of dirt coming
4:15
out. Was very dirty. And it is done.
4:19
Once you're done, it's time to fix it
4:21
back. And you see with this, we didn't
4:23
touch any other part of the laptop. So,
4:25
we don't have any issue. So, from here,
4:27
go ahead and fix it back.
4:34
Don't forget to fix the cable from your
4:36
fan, your motherboard. And then go ahead
4:40
and screw all the
4:41
nuts on the fan and make sure it is also
4:45
aligned with the ventilation holes on
4:47
your heat sink. So that is it. I'll fix
4:51
all the screws that are attached to the
4:52
fan on the motherboard. Also clean this.
4:55
Make sure you clean also
4:59
this once it is clean.
5:02
It's
5:03
time to turn the
5:07
casing. And that's
5:10
it. You'll not have tempered with
5:12
anything. So go ahead and fix the screw
5:23
back. Then press on the edges to make
5:26
sure that they are intact.
5:32
Sometimes you'll hear them
5:34
clip. And then don't forget to return
5:37
this the CD ROM if you had it on your
5:40
laptop. Return
5:46
it and then fasten it with a
5:51
screw. So I not fasten the others. I'll
5:54
just leave it at as it is because this
5:56
was just a demonstration using this
5:59
sample or this laptop. So if you have
