A teen brought his grandfather to tears of joy when his high school's mariachi band performed "their song" on his 65th birthday. Yandel Sayed, 17, from Houston, Texas, is extremely close to his grandpa, Leonardo Hernandez, 65, so wanted to do something special for the milestone occasion. Yandel decided to hire his friends’ mariachi band at Klein Oak High School, and when he explained the idea to the group, they were all in to help. On March 9, the band snuck into Yandel's home, where Leonardo was celebrating his big day. When the band then walked down the stairs, into the living room, and started playing, an emotional Leonardo welled up with happiness – but there was one more surprise still waiting for him. Yandel later performed a song, "Mi Viejo," which his family said talks about a grandfather getting older and running out of time. Leonardo needed to take a seat to take everything in, crying as Yandel sang to his beloved grandfather.
