Arizona Road Trip To North Rim Grand Canyon
Mar 18, 2026
In this Arizona road trip we head up to Northern Arizona and explore the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. On the way up Highway 89, we stop by some top Arizona destinations. On the way to Page Arizona on the border with Utah we stop at the Horseshoe Bend lookout and hike down to get a great view. We then go across the Glen Canyon Dam at Lake Powell to the Vermilion Cliffs which are an incredible site to see. After calling it a night and camping on the North Rim we head over to Kaibab National Park. We camped at Demotte Campground on the Kaibab Plateau. We woke up and headed down to the Grand Canyon Lodge at the North Rim. When on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon you can take a hike on the Bright Angel Trail.
The lodge itself is really remarkable as it is made of real rock and wood overlooking the canyon on the cliff. They do have cabins there that you can rent and they are quite spacious actually. They also have smaller cabins that you can enjoy.
