2:36
today a big thank you to WPS office for
2:39
sponsoring this video and supporting
2:41
this channel now let's get back into the
2:43
video
2:44
as we discussed earlier a file explorer
2:46
is a really important application and I
2:48
like Nautilus but before I deep down
2:50
into my reason why not plus is my go to
2:53
file explorer let's take a brief look at
2:55
but not plus Ace Nautilus is a part of
2:58
gnome desktop environment many Linux
3:00
distributions including Ubuntu Fedora
3:02
manzaro to name a few come with gnome
3:04
next of environment making it default
3:07
file explorer Nautilus follows the human
3:09
design system developed by gnome
3:11
Foundation the foundation that develops
3:13
the Chrome desktop environment now you
3:15
know what Nautilus is let's take a deep
3:17
down into the reasons why I like it so
3:19
much reason number one intuitive
3:22
interface one of the primary reasons why
3:24
we often like an application or a system
3:27
because of its intuitive user interface
3:30
natural is not a stranger to that it
3:33
comes with beautiful human design
3:34
interface which is followed Across The
3:37
Gnome desktop making it seamless
3:39
everything looks perfect this size the
3:41
icons colors the font space distribution
3:44
and the trendy cup design that it has so
3:47
all these elements contribute to an
3:49
amazing design and interface that it has
3:52
so this is my one reason why I like
3:54
Nautilus reason number two is a
3:57
navigation and review so looks are
3:59
important but what about the other
4:01
things so we use a file explorer because
4:03
of its looks of course but for also the
4:06
functionality that it provides us so one
4:08
of the key reasons why I absolutely
4:10
adore using note plus as it offers an
4:13
easy navigation and seamless preview
4:16
functionality
4:17
so I have this panel on the left side I
4:19
can effortlessly access my favorite
4:21
folders and bookmarks by default it
4:24
comes with the popular bookmarks that it
4:26
has like the documents the downloads the
4:28
home but I can always add my own and I
4:31
can start using them on the right side
4:33
it has the files and folders and you can
4:36
also preview them
4:38
and the top action bar provides a quick
4:40
access to the search where I can search
4:42
for files and get the absolute path of
4:44
my files and folders it has these Back
4:47
info buttons and various other options
4:50
as well with the option menu I can
4:52
easily open a new tab and toggle the
4:55
hidden by crease in my system the
4:57
convenience of opening a new tab in
4:59
Nautilus allows me to easily organize
5:01
and multitask I use this feature a lot
5:03
and it becomes handy when I want to move
5:05
files around the directories
5:08
reason number three customization
5:10
options so let's face it all Linux users
5:13
love customization I love customizations
5:15
too with gnome human design interface
5:18
Nautilus offers a ton of customizations
5:21
while keeping it clean and easy to
5:23
understand by default Nautilus has this
5:25
gnome based design right and comes with
5:28
the system byte dark and light themes
5:31
but you can easily customize the themes
5:33
by adding your own gtk and icon themes
5:36
onto your system like here I have added
5:38
bunch of themes in my system and I can
5:40
simply choose a particular theme and the
5:42
look of the note class build change I
5:45
can easily toggle hidden files as I
5:47
mentioned before and add new bookmarks
5:49
to the site panel by simply dragging and
5:52
dropping any folder and in the
5:54
preferences I can switch between the
5:57
single click and double click option for
5:59
opening any file in folder personally I
6:02
like to click twice to open any folder
6:04
or file so I have that but you can
6:06
always change it and tolerate to your
6:08
workflow habits it also offers context
6:10
menu options like permanent delete and
6:13
creating a new link so if you want to
6:15
enable these options they will pop up
6:17
when you right click on any folder or
6:19
file and you can also set these view
6:22
captions for additional information
6:23
under the directories so you can simply
6:26
enable these options and new information
6:28
will start to pop up under the directory
6:30
name all in all the Nautilus Embraces
6:33
the freedom to customize according to my
6:34
needs making it my favorite File
6:37
Explorer
6:39
reason number four integrated tools for
6:42
cloud remote access and archive related
6:44
work another compelling reason why
6:46
Nautilus Reigns Supreme as my favorite
6:48
Linux file explorer because it offers
6:51
intricated tools for seamless Cloud
6:53
remote access and archive management so
6:56
just like bookmarks you can easily add
6:58
your remote sources and access them with
7:01
just a single click making it effortless
7:03
to sync and manage files across various
7:06
platforms so if you have a server or a
7:08
web hosting then you can easily use
7:11
these bunch of protocols to access the
7:14
files and manage them not us also
7:16
ensures the smooth connectivity to these
7:19
various remote systems and services
7:20
using these protocols so that you do not
7:23
find any hiccups while doing your work
7:25
additionally I can easily manage
7:27
different types of archive files right
7:29
from the notos application so I do not
7:32
have to like install a different tools
7:34
to extract or to create different
7:36
archive files like 7z Zip RAR
7:40
etc etc so it offers us this easy way to
7:44
create and extract such files without
7:46
any hustle now moving on to the reason
7:49
number five and this reason is really
7:52
important because it matters the reason
7:55
number five is Turbo performance so note
7:57
loss is not just user friendly
8:00
application that offers good navigation
8:02
customization and remote connectivity it
8:05
is also incredibly efficient as it is
8:08
designed to be right on the system
8:10
resources ensuring that it doesn't slow
8:12
down your system of course on top of
8:14
that being part of gnome ecosystem gives
8:16
it an edge over other file explorers as
8:19
it can easily rely on optimized
8:21
resources that the whole desk of
8:24
environment offers wherever it comes
8:26
with performance customization options
8:28
as well so you can easily go into the
8:30
preferences and tweak the settings as
8:33
per your needs so the feature to
8:35
customize the the performance makes it a
8:37
perfect choice for both modern and older
8:40
Hardware as well with that I conclude
8:43
all my regions so give it a try and let
8:45
me know what you think about it and if
8:47
you have your own favorite file explorer
