Hello there and welcome to Leninxestuo and in this video we are going to talk about how to clean the
0:10
system the Leninxestuo that you have and particularly we will be talking about an
0:14
application that is alternative to CC cleaner and it is bleach bed and there is one more application
0:21
that can be used for the same purpose that is your stesser application and for stesser I have
0:27
already made a video a complete guide about this gesture that you can watch i
0:31
will be providing the link in the top right corner just click on it and you
0:35
will be able to watch that video but in this one we will be talking about only
0:40
the bleach with application and we will also go through the insulation process
0:46
how you can install that application in any kind of Linux distribution that we
0:50
have so let's get started so here is my system and i will be just opening up the
0:55
browser and searching for Bleach Fit here. So where is the official website of
1:03
Bleach Fit it is Bleach Fit.org just go to this website and download the package
1:10
file for a Linux distribution click on download button and here you have two
1:14
options one is for Windows and for Linux select the Linux and choose the
1:20
distribution that you have for example if you are using any Debian base distro
1:24
then you can go with either a linux mint package file or debian package file or ubuntu package file
1:29
and if you are using .rpm based distributions the distribution that are based on either on fedora
1:36
or red hat then you can go with centos open sushi or fedora so you probably be using a debian or
1:43
ubuntu based distribution that uses a .dev file so currently i'm using ubuntu so i'm just going to
1:50
download this file here and it is saying like 20.4 the focal foza package is not
1:56
available so you have to download the 19.4 package so I'm going to download that
2:01
one from here and here is the package file so just save it the package file is really small because
2:12
the application is very minimal and easy to use so this is the package file so we will
2:17
be installing this dev file in our system and if we're using a different distributions
2:21
like fedora then you can download .rpm file from here so here is the file that we have
2:28
bleach with file let me just cut this file into home directory so this is the
2:34
bleach with file so you can install it either by right clicking on the file and
2:40
open with software to install or you can use your terminal to install the file
2:46
so just click on install button and it will get installed in the system or you
2:53
You can simply open the terminal and here is the file and to install the file you can
3:01
type sudo apt or devin package then the parameter of i to install and the file name
3:11
Use the type key to auto complete hit the enter and the package will get installed
3:16
Before installing the application from the package file we will also look into the software
3:20
center to see whether the application is available to the repo so we don't have to go through this
3:27
and just download the package from there so here's the software center i will just give it a search
3:32
here i will type bleach fit and let's see what we are getting so we are getting these two options so
3:39
this is free space and maintain privacy application click on it and you can see the 3.9 the ubuntu
3:47
focal version is available so we can install it from here as well so if we
3:52
want so let's click on the button and it will start to install so the
4:02
application is installed in the system so let me close this window this one as
4:06
well and I will search the app in the menu I will type bleach fit and we are getting two options right now one is a regular bleach fit and another one is as root so I will tell the difference between these two so
4:21
when you will open it for the first time it will give you the preferences window so you can here
4:26
choose whether you want to use dark mode or not and some different settings here I'm just going
4:32
to close this window and here are the options that you can choose to clean for example if i want to
4:39
clean the thumbling cache i can select this option i want to clean the debug log i can check mark this
4:44
option i want to clean the dress i can check mark this and anything else here i can check mark if i
4:51
want if i want to clean the cache of rhythm box the music player application and the google chrome
4:58
and the different settings like i want to clean the history and the sessions and anything that i
5:04
want to clean i can simply check mark it here i can also go through the firefox because the
5:09
browsers have the a lot of cache files in the system so you can easily clean that up and make
5:16
the browser in the system way more faster so i'm just going to select some random options
5:21
so i'm also going to select this auto auto clean option here so this will clean all the unnecessary
5:28
packages if there are and i can hit the preview button now it will find all the packages that can
5:34
be cleaned all the files so here it is saying that we have around 250 megabytes of data that can be
5:42
recovered if i clean these unnecessary files so i'm just going to clean it and to clean just hit
5:48
this clean button and this will delete all the files some of the files are not deleted for example
5:55
these files are not deleted because they belong to the root directory so to delete these files we
6:02
have to run the bleach bit as sudo this command can't be run without the sudo and apart from those
6:09
it is only able to clean these files that are being shown here so we have got around 2 megabytes of of free space and not the 250 megabytes of free space So let close this window and open the bleach bit as root Followed of course you have to type in the password so you have to authenticate that
6:30
you are root user. And I am just going to clean it and now you can select the options again that you want
6:37
Now you will only see the options that are related to the system and not to the regular
6:41
application like you are not able to see the options for browser and that stuff
6:46
because for that you don't have to use your root password you only use it to
6:50
clean the system related stuff so I'm just going to select the other options
6:54
again so I'm just going to like select the clean option here and if I run the
7:00
preview it will show the unnecessary data in the system so it is saying like
7:05
600 something K is available that can be deleted I'm also going to select some
7:11
other options here like temporary files and let me preview again around 8 megabyte of data i mean
7:18
this is a virtual machine os so it is not my primary os that is why i'm not getting the amount
7:25
here in gigabytes because when you use an operating system for a long time and you are using it on a
7:32
regular basis then you get temporary data a lot i mean it will be in gigabytes for sure this is
7:38
the ubuntu and virtual machine that is why i'm not getting that much of the data so i can clean
7:42
this data now i can hit the clean and this will delete all the unnecessary files from the system
7:49
and because it's a root so it will not throw any kind of error because you have provided a
7:53
root password i can also check mark this clean option and there so basically there is not much
8:00
of the data to be cleaned here but you can use this application i mean you probably got the
8:05
picture how you can use this application to clean any unnecessary data from the system. So this is
8:11
the alternative for CC cleaner that we have in windows and this works pretty fine. So that was
8:18
it in this video I hope you find it helpful and if you did then don't forget to subscribe to the
8:22
channel and I will catch you in the next one till then take care and keep enjoying Linux
