INSIDE IRAN meeting Iranians in Isfahan

Okay everybody after a three hour bus journey we've just made it to Esbahan

The bus journey was amazing I'm from London It took about three hours and it was only $1

Salaam Alaikum Taxi drivers here are so funny So far on this trip the public transport system has been amazing

The bus system is great as you heard Just over one dollar to get all the way from Kashan to Isfahan

And also you can get similar to Uber which is called Snap in Iran

Salaam Alaikum And everyone's really nice Hi so tonight in isfahan i'm staying at another historical house this is monchi palace here

in a side alley here in isfahan looks beautiful so i've just arrived at the hotel and these guys are doing a huge tour across iran and other

countries. Where have you been to? Now we want to go to Tehran. And you've been to

Turkey, Georgia, Azerbaijan? Yes, before me and my friend went to Turkey, Armenia

Azerbaijan, Georgia and we want to go to the other country. Which countries do you want to go to next

Next we want to go to Iraq and Turkey and Cyprus Nice Maybe Emirates and Oman

Amazing. So beautiful. One day I will do this. Nice to meet you, man

I feel very honored to be staying here. This is an old traditional Iranian house

but actually for the minister of the king around 200 years ago

and this is pure Iranian beauty. Wow, so many levels just here

You can see three different levels of rooms. Beautiful. Okay so I've just arrived here in the centre of the city and we're beginning our time here

of course with traditional food. I've just arrived here at Golastan Biryani to check out

this place. Apparently it's one of the best in the city for local traditional food. So

let's check it out. so he's currently preparing it this looks like minced meat and it's wrapped in bread

wow look at this Okay, so we've got the traditional

here in Isfahan. In the middle is minced meat and on the sides

is minced liver. And underneath is the thick amazing bread. Okay, so you basically

use the bread as a small plate. Pile the minced meat on top

and then add tons of orange juice on top. Let's see how good it is

Oh yeah. Wow. That meat is incredible with the orange juice too

And the bread is super fluffy and warm. It's incredible. So that food was great

I highly recommend if you're here in Esfahan to definitely try that

one of the best things I've ever tried here in Iran. I now walking towards the Imam Khomeini Square the second largest square in the entire world And this is the main street walking towards it and many people are exchanging money This is I

guess the hub of the black market in Isfahan. So many people exchanging

dollars for the Iranian. You can see all the trees, beautiful autumn day. I love this city already

so here inside the second largest square in the world you have the sheikh ludfulla mosque

and also the shah mosque at the end many horse-drawn carriages and many men selling this

salam it's a beautiful park so many families here relaxing huge fountain just in the center

wow so peaceful when i've no idea what he's selling but that sounds funny

when you see iran on the media i don't think people ever could expect this it is so peaceful

and so calm people are so happy and smiling here honestly for me when i see iran on the media

i never expected this and even before coming i never ever could have expected such happiness

and warmth and hospitality and such kindness and it really is blowing me away so

let's head inside two of the mosques here they look stunning Welcome everybody to the Shah Mosque, one of the most iconic sites you can see here in Iran

Built just under 400 years ago, it's used the iconic tiling that you can find all over

Iran using the seven colours. Each colour is meticulously crafted onto one piece of tile and then placed together to

form creations like this. It's so extraordinary. One biggest tip I have for travelers is to always look up

I mean this is beauty on a level I've never really seen before

Look at this. The colours, the level of details, the light. Oh my gosh

Wow. I'm lost for words. Can't believe I'm witnessing this right now

gonna head back rest in the beautiful Iranian house and yeah head out tomorrow
