so my dearest wife Sarah my son Noah now
0:06
my daughter Abby if you're reading this
0:09
I can tell you with the utmost
0:11
confidence that I die for something
0:13
right and just cost of war is higher
0:16
than any one life and I happily give my
0:19
knee defense of my men and family Abby
0:24
I'm sorry I didn't keep my promise when
0:27
I said I was coming home my hopes for
0:30
your future gave me the strength to
0:31
protect everything we hold dear you will
0:34
always be daddy's girl now I be an
0:40
honest man keep your word I'm gonna use
0:44
violence as a last resort you're the man
0:47
as a house now Sarah
0:51
please keep our babies safe and find it
0:55
in your heart to forgive me for leaving
0:56
you alone if my last breath is not in
1:00
the battlefield and surely will be in
1:03
your arms keep me in your heart always
1:11
but my dear wife Olivia and my daughter
1:14
in history if you are reading this I
1:17
guess I didn't make it home I was
1:20
prepared to face danger and death I hope
1:24
I did so with dignity my time was cut
1:27
short but I had countless blessings I
1:30
married the perfect woman I have a brand
1:34
new daughter on the way I'd be selfish
1:37
to ask for more I love you Olivia
1:41
welcome more baby into this world and
1:43
cherish her for me remind her about her
1:46
daddy and please never be afraid to do
1:50
what you need to find happiness
1:52
ring hello sweetheart I left for this
1:58
tour before you were born I'm sorry I
2:01
won't be able to see you grow up daddy
2:05
wanted to make the world a better place
2:07
that's why we need you keep me in your
2:11
prayers and try to do one good deed
2:13
every day we saved my family Victor
2:23
my dearest children well as this letter
2:29
will only be used in the event of my
2:31
death it may seem somewhat sorrowful but
2:34
I don't want you to see it that way okay
2:36
I have always felt that our stay on
2:40
earth the time we call life it's a
2:44
temporary gift to be spent in service of
2:47
something greater than ourselves death
2:50
comes to us all it is not to be feared I
2:54
loved my job but I hated war but the
2:59
secret mission I undertook every single
3:02
day was to protect the two of you from
3:05
anyone or anything that threatened your
3:09
health and well-being so promise me you
3:13
will take care of one another and plays
3:16
live your lives to the fullest with all
3:21
the love in my heart mum
3:32
sir we're behind enemy lines now in the
3:36
heat of battle time is short you'd give
3:39
it an order from which there is likely
3:40
no return you did what had to be done
3:43
all in I'm proud of you you were born
3:46
leader sir today was one of the worst
3:48
days in history and forgive me for
3:51
saying it but it was the greatest day of
3:54
my life I did everything I was trained
3:57
for and more together we fought the good
4:00
fight over tighten you said we were
4:03
brothers I always wanted to know what a
4:07
family really is now he do that
4:11
Lorraine's told me that a soldier is
4:14
only as good as his last mission if this
4:16
is ours then I can say with certainty we
4:21
were damn good sir better to burn out
4:25
than it is to rust metal one out
4:37
sir I'm not quite sure how a son greets
4:42
his father after not seeing him for a
4:45
lifetime guess it's they hide the head
4:50
finally tracked down your address
4:52
through the human resource department in
4:54
washington i had used my birth
4:57
certificate to prove we were related i
5:01
want you to know i followed in your
5:03
footsteps I joined the Navy thought it
5:06
would make you proud we ever saw each
5:09
other we have more to talk about I went
5:13
sniper school to be a sharpshooter but a
5:15
vision changed I became an instructor
5:18

5:26
