Here are some celebrities you may not have known have experienced the special milestone of becoming great-grandparents. Buzz Aldrin may be famous for being the second person to walk on the moon, but he has also had plenty to celebrate back on Earth. The astronaut has three great-grandsons through his only grandson, Jeffrey Schuss. Aldrin shared a photo of Nathaniel, Benjamin and Archer in a 2017 Twitter post, giving fans a glimpse of the three boys. Whoopi Goldberg became a great-grandmother at just 58 when her eldest grandchild, Amara Skye, welcomed a daughter named Charli Rose in 2014. Goldberg later joked about her new family title during an appearance on ‘The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon’, saying, “She better call me Whoopi.” Dick Van Dyke has also enjoyed watching several generations of his family grow up. In a Father’s Day post on Instagram, the legendary comedian shared photos with his family and said he was “amazed and grateful” to have lived long enough to spend the holiday with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
