Kris Jenner has announced the passing of her mother, Mary Jo “MJ” Shannon, at age 91. No cause of death has been disclosed. “Today, we said goodbye to my beautiful Mommy MJ,” Jenner shared on Instagram, calling her mother “the heart of our family.” Jenner reflected that Shannon taught her to “love your family fiercely,” show kindness, face challenges with “resilience and faith,” and cherish every moment. Shannon frequently appeared alongside her famous family on ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ and, more recently, ‘The Kardashians.’ In a separate Instagram post, Kim Kardashian called Shannon “my best friend, my gossip buddy, my forever twin,” noting that she instilled both family values and a strong work ethic. Kim added that Shannon gave her her first job, always believed in her, and joked that she was in heaven “looking at all of our Instagram posts” from a “sneaky finsta account.” Shannon was married to Kris Jenner’s father, Robert Houghton, before divorcing in 1962 when Jenner was seven years old.
