Prince Harry Says He Wants To Heal Royal Family Rift
Oct 21, 2026
Prince Harry has expressed his desire to reconcile with King Charles and Prince William, despite their strained relationships and years of family tension.
Speaking to GQ in his first major interview since returning to the UK, the Duke of Sussex said he wants to repair the family rift.
“Some people don’t want it to work out. I want it to work out,” Harry said, arguing that there is already “enough drama in the world.”
Harry also encouraged others to let go of past grievances, acknowledging that “scars stick around forever” but stressing the importance of changing your mindset.
The remarks come after reports surfaced in August that he would return to the UK with Meghan Markle and their two children, having spent six years in California.
Discussing his relationship with Britain and the press, Harry noted that his “attitude” has changed after years of legal battles and speaking publicly about his experiences.
Harry said he hopes to move past old disputes, adding that he and his family want to “leave behind” past issues and “work for the greater good.”
