It’s not always easy being in the public eye. These are some of the most shocking celebrity disputes to make it to the courtroom. The legal battle between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni was one of the most highly publicized court cases ever. On Dec. 20, 2024, Lively filed a complaint against Baldoni for alleged sexual harassment. Baldoni then filed a complaint against Lively for defamation and civil extortion. The dispute became increasingly complex, with 16 individual cross-claims. Baldoni and Lively eventually settled on May 4, 2026. Britney Spears was involved in a 13-year-long legal battle with her father, Jamie Spears. In 2008, Britney Spears was admitted to hospital twice under a temporary psychiatric assessment ruling. Her father was granted a conservatorship, which gave him control of her finances, career decisions, and personal well-being. In 2021, she hired a private attorney to end the conservatorship. In September 2021, Jamie Spears was suspended as conservator, and it was officially dissolved in November of the same year.
