So the first thing you'll have to do is upgrade your phone to iOS 16 and when you do that you

have the option to extract the main subject from any photo. So here is an example

This is a basketball player and what I would like is just to have an image of the player

and not the crowd around them. Now there are several different programs that I could use to maybe cut out around the player

or I could use a program like Remove BG to automatically extract the background

But iOS 16 has an even better option. If you have the main subject inside your photo, all you have to do is to hold down and press

that subject. You can see they suddenly become highlighted. If you take your finger off the subject, you now have the option to copy

So now that's copied, I can paste this anywhere. Let's try a text message

How about inside a note? Or even inside a presentation. This feature is so cool and it gives you so many different options

Now what I like about it is that it's not just limited to still photos

Take a look at this. This is a video that's inside my camera roll

Now if I wanted to take the actor in this video and to cut them out, I just have to

pause that video to a point where I'll be able to get a good shot of this actor

Press down, copy, and now I'm able to use him in that same presentation
