Real VS Fake Air Jordan Japan Co, How to Identify The 1:1 Replica Pair
15 views
Feb 20, 2025
About two weeks ago, I was contacted by the owner of kickzoon.com who wanted me to review a pair of shoes for him. I told him that it was against my policy to do so since one of the primary function of my site is- exposing fakes. He still insisted on sending a pair of shoe for a comparison and i acquiesced to his request. The shoe sent was the Air Jordan 1 Japan Co. The owner of PLUG ( a third party marketplace) was also gracious enough to send me a pair of legitimate/authentic Jordan 1 Japan Co to help me with this comparison. I'll invite you to watch the video thoroughly and if you're interested in purchasing authentic pairs of this model be sure to visit getplug.us

hey what's going on guys this is ty from
0:02
masterkicks.com and today i got
0:04
something special for you
0:05
i'm gonna be doing a comparison between
0:07
the fake jordan one called japan
0:09
and the authentic pair now here's the
0:10
thing i'm gonna give you a quick uh
0:12
backstory
0:13
now um that was like a week and a half
0:15
ago i was
0:16
actually approached by this man named
0:18
sydney and he runs kickzoom.com
0:20
now kickstart is obviously a website
0:22
that sells a fake
0:23
or replicas of bootlegs so he told me
0:26
hey how's the kicks can you do a review
0:27
for me
0:28
and i told him dude i can't do that
0:31
because my website actually exposes
0:32
fakes
0:33
and i also work on uh my math like
0:36
background allows me to do a lot of
0:38
reviews on shoes as far as like the
0:40
resale value
0:41
and what she's to get and how many beds
0:43
i made so if you're familiar with my
0:44
website you know that this is what i do
0:46
so i told him i can't do that and he
0:49
insisted on me just doing a comparison
0:50
he said i don't mind sending you the
0:52
shoe for a comparison so i said well
0:54
if you do that then i can access to your
0:56
request
0:57
so he sent me a shoe and he's a size 12.
0:59
and this is the
1:00
fake pair right here in my hand and then
1:03
the good news is this
1:04
i was also talking to one of the guys
1:07
that runs
1:08
plug plug is like a third-party
1:09
marketplace
1:11
yeah a little bit like stockx but a
1:12
little bit better so they were
1:14
gracious enough to send me a size nine
1:16
and you can see their targon here
1:18
you can go on their website it's called
1:20
getplug.us
1:21
they sell authentic shoes so today we're
1:24
gonna be doing a comparison to see
1:26
what are the commonalities and what are
1:27
the differences between these two shoes
1:29
now a lot of time on my website on my uh
1:33
youtube channel i get a lot of guys that
1:34
say to me hey how's the kicks
1:36
you don't have the shoes on hand how can
1:38
you actually do the comparison because i
1:40
use a lot of pictures
1:41
and sometimes it takes me like three
1:42
hours to just put these pictures
1:45
together
1:45
and it's a lot of work so i'm glad i
1:47
actually have the shoes on hand because
1:49
we're gonna be diving into it and we're
1:50
gonna be looking at
1:52
actual flaws we're going to look at what
1:54
is coming and what is not coming
1:55
so stay tuned for that now the first
1:56
thing i want to do guys is i'm just
1:58
going to show you how close
2:00
these shoes are to one another all right
2:02
now this is the effect on my left hand
2:04
and the authentic on my right
2:05
hand let's just take a look at it from
2:08
side
2:09
to side the material is
2:12
the same on this side here new buck and
2:14
some kind of a tumbled leather
2:16
on both shoes is exactly the same thing
2:19
and if you look at the uh jordan wings
2:22
logo at the hill
2:23
it's the same too i don't see any
2:25
problem with the wings i do not see any
2:26
differences there
2:28
i looked looked and looked again i did
2:30
not see anything
2:31
if you look at the toe box same thing
2:33
i'm going to turn it this way and you
2:34
don't look at the toe boxes
2:36
okay the perforations are the same i do
2:39
not see
2:40
any differences there the tongue
2:43
and its extension is the same as well
2:46
now i'm going to turn it this way and
2:48
we're going to look at the
2:49
medial side as well if you look at the
2:52
medial side
2:53
again same features same
2:56
leather material i do not see anything
2:58
different
2:59
there all right and we're going to look
3:02
at the back
3:04
we're going to turn them and we're going
3:05
to look at the back
3:07
the back is the same just as well now i
3:10
will say that on the sides now which is
3:11
the authentic bed
3:12
there are more wrinkles than here
3:16
if you look close enough the wrinkles
3:17
are a lot more
3:19
but other than that stitching is the
3:20
same okay
3:22
and then we're going to look at the
3:24
inside of the tongue
3:27
the jumpman and the 2001 2020 the
3:30
material feels the same
3:32
the thumb is not as flimsy on both is it
3:35
this one is a little bit more flimsy
3:37
but other than that i do not see any
3:39
differences
3:41
okay and then the inside liner same
3:44
thing we're going to fill it i'm gonna
3:45
fill it here
3:46
dual density foam on the fake pair
3:49
the wool density foam on the authentic
3:51
pair
3:52
okay and then we're gonna pause and jump
3:55
on to some other things
3:57
now what i did was i pulled out the
3:58
insoles to see if there was any
4:01
difference in the stitching
4:03
and this is the fake varies on my hand
4:05
on my right hand here now if you look at
4:07
the fake pair this is the inside there
4:09
you can see some stamping in there
4:10
and the stitching is white okay the
4:13
threads
4:14
now the date on the fake fair is january
4:17
the
4:18
the 22nd this is the production date and
4:20
the the production factor is xc
4:23
on the authentic pair we're gonna see
4:27
now again inside is the same stitching
4:30
is the same
4:30
now the production date is different
4:32
that's the first the very first
4:34
differences that we notice is
4:35
the production here is march the fourth
4:38
okay
4:39
this is when this was produced now if
4:41
you look at the inside
4:42
again i'm going to turn this way i do
4:44
not feel any differences
4:46
the foam inside is the same pretty much
4:49
okay the tongue
4:50
now when i was looking at the tongue i
4:52
noticed something interesting here
4:54
now when i fill this one this is more
4:56
rough on the authentic pair it's more
4:59
soft when i put my hand it's a lot more
5:01
soft and you can see that this is a
5:02
little more rugged here but again this
5:04
is your step that's not really
5:06
noticeable
5:07
okay and then we're gonna look at
5:10
uh the insoles as well so let's pause
5:12
again and look at the insoles
5:14
now these are the insoles this is the
5:16
authentic press insoles and this is the
5:18
fake press insole
5:20
now usually what happens is this this
5:22
area here where they put
5:24
the the markings like the jumpman and
5:26
the logo usually on the fake pairs
5:28
when you scratch it they tend to like
5:30
really fade away quick
5:31
and i've been scratching this for quite
5:33
some time now and it hasn't happened
5:34
now you can see that they are the same
5:36
thing i do not see any differences here
5:38
i try to fold them now this this is this
5:41
is the authentic and this is the fake
5:42
one again they don't seem as flimsy they
5:44
seem to be the same
5:45
they have the same girth here the
5:47
thickness is the same okay
5:49
you can see that right this is the
5:50
bottom now i did recognize some funny
5:53
thing here i don't know if this is like
5:54
this is it says on the bottom of this
5:56
one size now
5:58
okay this is a nine but on the fake one
6:00
it doesn't say anything so
6:01
again this is not that major now we're
6:04
gonna look at some other differences now
6:05
okay
6:07
now the very first difference that we
6:09
see at the bottom
6:10
is inside this area here if you look at
6:13
the
6:13
the patterns on the fake one which is
6:16
this one here
6:18
this is more apparent on the authentic
6:20
it's very subtle you can't you can't
6:22
really
6:22
see all the the markings they are kind
6:24
of hidden here on the fake one they are
6:26
really really vivid you can see them
6:27
they like
6:28
jump out to you okay and the same thing
6:31
with this area here
6:32
you can see on the on the authentic it's
6:34
more subtle on the fake one you can kind
6:36
of see them
6:37
it's inside here as well the same thing
6:40
you can see that on the authentic pair
6:41
they are more apparent on the on the on
6:43
the authentic pair they are more
6:45
uh subtle and effect where they are more
6:47
apparent here okay
6:49
i'm gonna show you this one as well
6:53
and we're gonna turn this way and now
6:56
let's look at the laces i do not see any
6:58
differences in the laces
6:59
the laces are the same on either bed
7:03
this is the authentic bases are the same
7:06
thickness is the same now the major
7:08
differences are coming now
7:10
and the major differences are on the box
7:13
and the label so that's what we're going
7:15
to be looking at now so as far as the
7:16
shoes is concerned
7:17
the only thing that we notice is the
7:19
tongue and this extension where
7:21
this is more rough and this is more soft
7:23
and more subtle
7:25
and then the bottom this area here
7:28
i see on the fake one you can kind of
7:30
see this pattern better on the authentic
7:32
is more subtle
7:33
and these are the major differences okay
7:35
as far as the color is concerning the
7:37
material
7:38
same thing now let's jump onto the box
7:40
now
7:41
one of the other major differences is
7:43
this
7:44
insert here what is written in it it
7:46
says die cut sock liner
7:48
on the fake one which is on my left hand
7:51
is very vivid you can see the markings
7:55
on the authentic is really subtle you
7:57
can see how subtle it is on the
7:58
authentic right
8:00
so this is another major differences now
8:03
big differences here if you look at
8:05
these two boxes
8:07
this is the effect box and this is the
8:08
authentic box okay on the effect box you
8:11
can see that the gray is more somber and
8:13
darker
8:14
on the authentic box if uh the gray is
8:16
more light
8:17
and it's a lot more like subtle this one
8:20
is a lot darker and somewhere
8:21
and if you look at the label i'm gonna
8:23
show you something interesting here
8:25
now again this is not a big deal if you
8:27
look at the fake box
8:28
there is no msrp you don't see that here
8:31
on the authentic he says 170.
8:33
right this is coming from overseas so it
8:35
doesn't say that there is no
8:37
msrp here so that's one of the ways you
8:39
can kind of like quickly
8:40
figure it out now i'm going to show you
8:41
something interesting here about the
8:43
fake box
8:44
now in the face here's what they did
8:47
they sent me
8:48
this here they sent me a star text
8:51
authentication card that comes with a
8:53
fake one
8:54
it comes with this one as well you see
8:56
this and this is how you get food
8:58
right and the fake one even has a
9:00
stamping on the box
9:01
this is crazy now the authentic
9:04
obviously doesn't have
9:05
the authentication card from stockx but
9:08
he does have some stamping here the
9:09
stamping is different
9:10
now this is more like the print here is
9:12
a lot more like bold ink and this is
9:14
like a little bit fading away
9:16
and now i'm going to show you some other
9:17
things so let's pause the game so
9:20
now we are scaling the qr code on the
9:21
authentic box and you can see that he's
9:23
taking us straight to nike
9:24
we're gonna do the same thing on the
9:25
fake box as well and see what happened
9:30
same thing so as you can see the fake
9:33
box is working just as well
9:35
so that's not a good way to authenticate
9:36
your shoe because they can duplicate it
9:39
now we're going to check the rfid
9:40
identifier next now as you can see
9:42
this is the authentic paper and this is
9:46
the fake paper
9:46
now on the authentic you can see that's
9:48
a little more shiny the jumpman and the
9:50
2001 and
9:51
2020 is a little more shiny on the
9:53
attack than it is on the fake one
9:55
okay it's a lot more flat here you can
9:58
see that you can't really see the
9:59
shining
10:00
uh material on the authentic you can see
10:02
that it shines as
10:04
soon as you get on the shines a little
10:05
bit more all right
10:07
now the last step is gonna be the rfid
10:10
which i talked about earlier so we're
10:11
gonna look at that
10:12
now what i'm gonna do in front of you
10:14
guys i'm gonna peel
10:15
this label okay and i don't want to rip
10:19
it but i'm going to have to peel it
10:20
i'm not going to do that on the
10:22
authentic because obviously
10:24
i cannot do that for reason that i have
10:27
to return the authentic shoe
10:29
back so let's see here now this is
10:32
incredible
10:33
that they even put this
10:36
chip behind a fake
10:39
shoe this isn't now here's the question
10:42
this
10:43
chip here is supposed to have installed
10:45
in the in the chip
10:46
all the information of the sneaker like
10:48
a lot of information now i don't know if
10:50
this is a placebo or this is actually
10:51
real
10:52
i do not have a rfid reader because this
10:55
connects
10:55
to the rfid reader and it gives you that
10:57
information now what you can do is this
10:59
you can take this shoe to nike
11:01
and then double check that so now this
11:03
just blew my mind right now that the
11:05
fake box even has this behind this is
11:08
crazy
11:09
okay as you can see this is the fake one
11:11
it doesn't have the msrp
11:12
but they did put this piece here and i'm
11:15
gonna try to see
11:17
what happened i mean this this really
11:19
surprised me because
11:20
this is the rfid on chip and i don't
11:23
know what's stored in here i don't have
11:24
a rfid
11:26
reader to read this information so i'll
11:27
be curious to know
11:29
and this is the scary thing guys because
11:31
i'm telling you
11:32
these fix i've gotten so much better
11:35
that
11:36
i don't even know what to say anymore
11:37
because when you looked at both shoes
11:39
again i'm gonna be picking up both shoes
11:40
now just give me one second i'm gonna
11:42
pick them up again
11:45
i mean i could not find any differences
11:48
besides
11:49
the bottom which i showed you this area
11:53
the tongue on the authentic
11:56
it's a lot more subtle here has more
11:58
wrinkles
11:59
and then other than that the material
12:02
was the same and then the box
12:03
the gray on the box or the of the
12:06
authentic pair is a lot more lighter
12:07
than it is on the fake one they're
12:09
paper this is the only differences that
12:11
i've seen guys this is crazy and nike is
12:13
in serious trouble
12:15
because here's what i'm gonna say to you
12:17
guys these guys that are making the fake
12:19
shoes
12:20
they've now understood the market they
12:22
know to thrive they have to make shoes
12:24
that are so much
12:25
better and they are selling these fakes
12:28
for like 150
12:30
which means they are making more revenue
12:32
sometimes than nike itself because
12:34
their stock is unlimited they keep
12:36
spitting out shoes
12:38
every day and they watch videos like
12:40
this the one that i'm doing and they go
12:42
back in the laboratory and they fix
12:44
the shoes and spit out even better now
12:47
if you're not surprised by this
12:50
i mean i'm really surprised that they
12:52
actually put this behind the label that
12:54
to me was an eye opener because they are
12:56
really following
12:57
what people like me are doing because we
12:59
are talking we are explaining things and
13:01
they are picking up on it
13:02
and they are making better fix this is
13:05
scary guys
13:06
and nike is in trouble now the only
13:08
thing that nike can do
13:10
is pretty much just monitor what's
13:12
coming up
13:13
and how they're gonna monitor that
13:14
because these guys cannot be controlled
13:18
nike the only way nike can win at some
13:20
to some extent is just bring
13:22
the factories back to the usa they're
13:23
not going to do that because labor in
13:25
overseas is cheaper
13:27
so again this is a win-win game for
13:30
the fake industry because they are going
13:32
to keep making better and better
13:34
shoes and again i'm not promoting fakes
13:36
but i'm just telling you this is scary
13:37
now i'm gonna tell you this most of the
13:40
people selling these shoes on ebay right
13:41
now with multiple pairs
13:43
are probably selling bootlegs and you
13:46
don't know because you can't even tell
13:48
okay so a lot of guys send these shoes
13:50
in multiple
13:51
sizes are probably selling you fix so
13:55
hopefully you've learned a lot from what
13:57
i've told you today
13:58
and i'm i'm hoping that you'll be more
14:00
careful when you do your
14:02
uh your purchases online because i'm
14:04
telling you these are probably slipping
14:05
through
14:05
many cracks even i'm sure stockx is
14:08
probably selling
14:10
i'm not going to say fakes but i'm sure
14:11
some are slipping through the cracks
14:13
because it's so hard to tell when you
14:16
don't have an authentic shoe on hand and
14:17
you even see with the authentic shoe
14:19
it's so hard for me to even spot these
14:21
differences okay
14:23
so i'm hopefully you've learned a lot
14:24
today and again if you want to buy the
14:26
authentics
14:27
i'll invite you to go to plug
14:30
plug.getplug.us
14:32

14:33
housekicks
14:35

14:37
website as well because there's a lot
14:39
more that i talk about there so i will
14:40
invite you to subscribe today
14:42
to house the kicks not only on youtube
14:44
but be sure to check the website
14:46

14:47
to seeing you again next time thank you
