1 John 5:16 -17, The Sin That Leads To Ultimate Death

Welcome back to our study of the book of first John. Last week we talked about the testimony that God has given his church about the identify of Christ, as being co-substantial and co eternal with the Father. John presented the evidence for the deity of Christ in chapter 5 as he mentioned His baptism and His death on the cross. John now shifts gear and is giving some more practical pastoral counsel to his congregation to reassure them about their adoption's status- true children of the living God. Today we're going to continue with verses 16 and 17 of chapter 5, and talk about the sin that leads to ultimate death.
