Welcome back to our study of Hebrews; today we'll focus on Hebrews 12:18-29. We discussed in our previous session what the appropriate response should be when we are disciplined by the Lord. In today's session, we'll talk about the end purpose of the discipline of the Lord.

when god disciplines us and the book of

hebrews in chapter 12 gave us some

good points as to what we ought to do

to not despise the discipline of the

lord and he uses the book of proverbs to

by life difficulties uh don't dread it

about faith and he explained what faith

that faith

comes about because god uses uh things

in our life

and in those people who are being

persecuted to bring us closer to him

because through the trials we learn to

years again he's primarily addressing

so these are the instructions that god

only moses was allowed on the mountain

foot of the mountain they couldn't cross

the people went on mount sinai

perfect the law itself was perfect but

come so they saw the manifestation of

god but they couldn't get close so there

was still something that was missing

see the shaking of the earth that he

so this is why we are shaking in our own

lives we get disciplined through trials

the trials are meant to do what do away

consider a pure job whenever you face

trials of many kind for the testing of

your faith produces what perseverance
