Boy's Washed Out Birthday Party With Five Guests Goes Viral
A five-year-old and his mom warmed hearts on social media after persisting with his outdoor birthday party despite a downpour and only five people showing up. Noah Quintanilla and single mom Mia, from Houston, Texas, had been planning the big day for two weeks, with Mia inviting friends and family to a pool party to celebrate Noah turning five. Having arrived on what began as a sunny day, on June 30, Noah and Mia were then met with light rain before a downpour started. Mia didn't want to ruin her son's special day and ask him to leave, so, despite only five people being present, they continued with the celebrations. She handed over her phone and asked to be recorded persisting with singing "Happy Birthday,", with Noah and his mom laughing as they and his Spider-Man cake got soaked by the rain. After finishing the song, Mia and Noah left the pool with everything that was salvageable, heading home to dry off. They later headed to a local Walmart, where Noah was treated to toys and a replacement cake. Mia shared her video of her and Noah's resilience on social media, where it soon went viral, gaining millions of views and thousands of people wishing Noah a happy birthday.
