B-52 Deploys Quickstrike-ER Naval Mines (2019 OP TEST)

A USAF B-52 Stratofortress deploys four QS64-ER 2000lb mines (Quickstrike-ER Winged Standoff Naval Mines) during an operational demonstration at the Pacific Missile Range Facility on May 29, 2019. The QS64-ER combines Joint Direct Attack Munitions (JDAM) technology and an additional wing kit and battery section to allow it to be delivered from long-range and high-altitude, with pinpoint accuracy, which significantly reduces risk to the aircraft. This aerial naval mine is compatible, inter-operable, and can be employed by virtually any JDAM enabled aircraft, including foreign partners.
