F-35B Lightning II • First Deployment On USS Wasp (2018)

U.S. Marine Corps F-35B Lightning II aircraft assigned to Marine Fighter Attack Squadron (VMFA) 121 conduct a series of take-offs and landings aboard the U.S. Navy amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD-1) on March 3, 2018. This marks the first time the F-35B has deployed aboard a U.S. Navy ship with a Marine Expeditionary Unit (31st MEU).
