USAF training exercise Checkered Flag 22-2 is a large-force aerial exercise held at Tyndall Air Force Base in Florida, and in conjunction with Weapons Evaluation Group’s WSEP exercises. WSEPs is designed to test a squadron’s capabilities to conduct live-fire weapons systems during air-to-air combat training missions. In 2022, Checkered Flag integrates 4th and 5th generation fighter jets: F-15E Strike Eagle (and F-15C Eagle), F-22 Raptor, F-16 Viper (aka Fighting Falcon), F/A-18 Super Hornet.
