You might think it's the Mongol conquests or even World War I. Nope, the second deadliest conflict was a civil war, and it occurred within China in the 19th century. The Taiping Rebellion saw between 20 and 70 million humans killed, the result of religious revolutionaries, apocalyptic visions, and the battle for control of China's strategic centers.
