what's up ladies and gentlemen this is
0:01
David Benjamin from WellStar reviews and
0:03
healthy Wild free today I'm going to be
0:05
reviewing lineage Provisions grass-fed
0:08
beef and organs all in a jerky meat so I
0:13
recently got this and uh to be honest
0:16
with you I got it because I was curious
0:18
if organ Meats which I typically take in
0:20
a supplement form could actually be good
0:24
in food and surprisingly I tasted these
0:28
and I was shocked to find out that this
0:31
actually tasted pretty good and I didn't
0:32
really taste that liver or that organ me
0:34
at all and what they do is they use
0:36
about 90% beef and 10% organ Meats so
0:40
you're not getting like an insane amount
0:43
of organ Meats but that's also not
0:44
necessarily a bad thing because you
0:46
don't want to have too many organ Meats
0:49
uh in too short of a period of time
0:50
because you could get like vitamin A
0:52
toxicity and things like that so uh
0:54
they're actually quite delicious and I'm
0:55
going to compare with you today uh this
0:58
company lineage Provisions they
1:00
nutritional value their pricing compared
1:02
to this company paleo Valley which I've
1:05
been getting paleo Valley's jerky for
1:07
quite a while now one of the things I
1:09
will say that I like about paleo Valley
1:11
is they have uh beef chicken pork and
1:16
venison this is their venison jerky and
1:19
I like that because beef is the number
1:21
one meat that I eat for my meals so to
1:24
have beef jerky isn't as exciting as
1:26
something like venison which is a lean
1:28
meat uh which is very high in protein
1:31
and uh it's good to have a mix a variety
1:34
of wild game of wild meats and venison
1:38
from paleo Valley their jerky is really
1:40
delicious and they also have a really
1:42
good jalapeno beef stick and many other
1:45
things so uh today I'm going to be
1:46
comparing the price of these two Brands
1:48
sort of the nutritional breakdown and
1:50
the difference overall so I'm going to
1:52
compare per ounce this is a per ounce
1:54
comparison lineage provision per ounce
1:58
$44.92 so so it's basically almost 5
2:01
bucks an ounce which is obviously very
2:03
pricey these sticks are 1 oz each and
2:06
these average up to be 2 bs69 C now if
2:08
you stay till the end of this video I
2:10
will give you a discount on both of
2:11
these so you can get it cheaper than
2:13
that however you're looking at almost
2:15
half the cost per ounce of food from the
2:20
gr both grass-fed by the way grass-fed
2:22
paleo Valley venison s beef turkey uh I
2:26
don't know if they have turkey anymore
2:27
but pork chicken beef venison things
2:29
like that and then the lineage uh meat
2:31
is 492 so it's quite literally almost
2:33
half the cost however check this out 16
2:37
g of protein per ounce in lineage
2:40
Provisions jerky 16 gram that's insane
2:44
with paleo Valley you're looking at 67 g
2:46
of protein so quite literally less than
2:50
half almost a third of the GRS of
2:54
protein in paleo Valley then you get in
2:56
lineage Provisions I'm a protein guy so
2:59
I really like lineage Provisions for
3:00
that in terms of fat they're both about
3:03
the same about 2.5 g of fat per ounce uh
3:07
both with lineage provisions and with
3:09
paleo Valley of course with the venison
3:11
you're getting more lean and you're
3:13
getting less fat and more protein so it
3:14
kind of differs based on the meat Source
3:16
now nutritionally speaking with lineage
3:18
Provisions you are getting 90% of it in
3:21
beef but then 10% of that with uh beef
3:25
heart and or excuse me you know cow or
3:29
uh grass-fed beef uh you're getting the
3:32
beef obviously but then you're getting
3:33
the heart of the cow and you're getting
3:35
the liver of the cow and that is in a
3:37
10% uh formula if you will so 90%
3:41
straight beef and then 10% organ Meats
3:43
with being combined with heart and liver
3:47
with lineage Provisions so you're
3:49
getting more you know bioavailable
3:52
nutrients you're getting more zinc
3:54
vitamin A uh you know you're getting
3:57
more nutrients that are beneficial for
3:59
your heart and your liver quite frankly
4:01
and these are beneficial for your
4:02
cardiovascular health but also your
4:04
metabolism your liver has over 500
4:07
metabolic even 600 metabolic functions
4:09
we don't know actually 500 to 600 even
4:12
more metabolic functions I'm sure uh so
4:15
your metabolism really benefits from
4:16
getting those nutrients that are in
4:18
lineage Provisions jerky whereas you
4:19
don't really get that benefit uh with
4:21
paleo Valley it's not that paleo Val is
4:23
jerky as empty calories it's just uh not
4:26
as nutritionally dense as lineage
4:28
Provisions hence essentially double the
4:30
cost for these so really the breakdown
4:33
is this you're paying pretty much double
4:35
the price for lineage Provisions but
4:37
you're getting more than double the
4:39
protein the fat content is about the
4:41
same the nutritional content to be
4:42
honest with you I'd argue is quite
4:44
similar because 10% organ Meats isn't
4:47
really that much so you're getting a
4:48
little bit more nutritional value with
4:50
the lineage Provisions beyond the macros
4:53
some speaking more in terms of the
4:55
micronutrients so you do get more
4:57
nutritional biodiversity and you get
5:00
more bioavailability of those nutrients
5:02
and you get more protein with this but
5:04
the fat content is the same and to be
5:06
honest with you uh 1 oz for
5:09
269 um I mean I don't know about you
5:12
guys but I can eat a pound of beef
5:14
meaning I could eat 16 of these in one
5:17
sitting if I was really hungry enough
5:20
and 16 times almost three bucks that's
5:22
you're looking at like 45 bucks if I
5:24
were to just eat like a bunch of jerky
5:26
for one meal like 16 of the who's going
5:28
to eat 16 things of JY but they have a
5:31
really good workout that's these are
5:32
really pricey if you think about it and
5:34
then this is like double the price of
5:35
that so to be honest with you you know
5:38
budget wise these what I like about
5:40
these though is these sticks are a
5:41
little bit smaller so these are an ounce
5:43
each but these however are quite a bit
5:46
smaller which is kind of nice and the
5:49
texture is also different so these are
5:51
quite literally I mean you're looking at
5:53
like a fraction of these maybe like
5:56
fourth or a fifth there's probably like
5:58
six or seven of these and in this
6:00
because it's also thicker as well so I
6:03
do like that they're little bite-sized
6:04
chunks like that that's kind of Handy
6:05
and in a bag that I do like that
6:07
personally uh because you can just take
6:09
little bits at a time and get those you
6:11
know organ meat supplements if you will
6:14
in your food in your jerky so I do like
6:17
that uh with the grass-fed you know beef
6:18
organs and the heart and liver in there
6:20
um I will say these also taste
6:22
differently as far as taste is concerned
6:24
I'll be honest with you paleo just wins
6:29
uh and the reason for that is because
6:30
not only do they have multiple Meats
6:32
such as beef venison chicken and pork by
6:35
the way I don't really do chicken a
6:36
whole lot but I do their beef and their
6:38
venison a lot and those are fantastic
6:40
they jalapeno beef they're plain venison
6:41
absolutely amazing they kind of win with
6:43
the taste uh they have a little bit more
6:45
moisture in them whereas the lineage
6:47
Provisions is a bit of that sort of like
6:49
dry or jerky and that's because I
6:51
believe it's air dried which is okay and
6:53
I understand that's sort of a practice
6:55
however I just the Paleo Valley tastes a
6:57
little bit better uh but to be honest I
7:00
like both of them and uh I think you
7:02
know the nutritional density of these is
7:04
good every once in a while as like a
7:06
pickme up and these are just I won't
7:08
call them empty calories because they're
7:10
definitely not empty but they're more
7:12
void than something like this but
7:13
they're both very nutritionally dense
7:15
compared to you know fast food or
7:17
anything with seed oils or anything like
7:18
that so I recommend both of them uh
7:20
you're going to get 10% off lineage
7:22
Provisions with my link below and you're
7:23
going to get 15% off paleo Valley so
7:26
once again these are 269 an ounz this is
7:28
492 an ounz but you'll get 10 10% off of
7:30
that price and 15% off this this price
7:33
so if you want to get paleo Valley jerky
7:34
or lineage Provisions uh check them both
