So it was a shock that you were in that final two. It was, but we've had many conversations now subsequently with family and friends

and even with the team involved in the show. And it's... I can steal your line, so it's a guessing

game not a singing competition because when you in the studio it very family the studio audience who do the voting and it very pantom lots of children Okay So I think it not just how you sing it the visuals

So if you think, you know, dress crab is massive thing with these huge claws and then the wind-up teeth that you get in a Christmas cracker, you know, teeth

And I think the kids go for stuff like that. So many a fine singer has been booted off quite early because it's the visuals and the

character and you just don't know because I was I've got to say very happy with my performances

well I was watching your performances back so you did murder on the dance floor you did killers

which sounded incredible your Tina Turner song at the end thank you was phenomenal so I mean

you ended on a high I did that's for sure yeah talk me through this because I love this whole

behind the scene stuff so you get the phone call yeah to take part and you say yes and I guess

at that point no I'd say how much okay then when I finally agree that

You go, and your lips are sealed. You cannot tell anyone? Well you have to tell some key people in your life So I tell my husband obviously and my eldest child Scarlett Didn tell my son who 22 and he was mortally offended Why did I not get to find out I know when he works in a bar you know

Oh, okay. Yeah. And then when you actually get to the studio and you start filming the thing

I mean, the security is, well, it's well known that it is so tight on that show

So how does it work? When you're driving in, for example, can you, do you have to keep your head down in the car

What's the deal? I don't do that anymore. Okay. You get sent an answer

outfit, right. So you get, you can pick your own trousers, but they've got to be black

your own boots or shoes, but you can't show any flesh. So I had, I've got black biker boots and all

those. Then you've got a massive hoodie, two big hoodies really oversized because they don't

even want you to give away your shape. And the hoodie says, don't speak to me. Right

And you have balaclava gloves. And under balaclava also has a visor. And then they test you under

lights like we've got here and if the light goes through your visor because you walk

all around the studio in this stuff as well they then put loads of masking tape in my visor so that all I had was my eyes because now you in the the lights everyone can see your hair And not everyone necessarily a singer of course You know So the security off the scale

So you drive a picture up. All the drivers have to sign NDAs. Because I was asking the producers, you know, how does it work

And they use the same companies all the time, so they've got that confidence, you know. And you're in all your gear

And they say, hide yourself from your neighbours. What? Your neighbour will be going, why has she got a balaclava on

and I don't speak to the T-shirt. She's very rude, is Carol? She's very..

Who does she think she is? Some kind of 80s superstar. Yeah. What a strange environment to be

And then you will. You've got your dressing room. And then you've got your quick change tent behind the set

Okay. And you will see other contestants coming and going in the corridors

all dress the same, slightly different heights, widths and seen at all

And I guess you don't... To this day, you won't know who the other people are. I don't

I have no idea. literally it's it's as fascinating for me as it is for everybody else
