In 1920, a single treaty erased 72% of Hungary's land and cut 3.3 million citizens off from their own country overnight. Following World War I, the Treaty of Trianon carved apart the Carpathian Basin, transferring historic territories, vital rail corridors, and rich resource basins to Romania, Czechoslovakia, and Yugoslavia. Today, the scars remain visible across Central Europe. In this video we try to trace Hungary from its 1,000-year medieval expansion to its sudden collapse, understanding the irredentist claims, natural border arguments, and whether these borders are still disputed up to today.
