1:24
I mean, they're watching us this morning thinking, I never thought about making pancakes tonight
1:29
How simple is it as a culinary delight? Oh, it's super simple
1:34
I mean, basically all you need to do is get some flour, eggs, milk
1:38
and that's it, really. I mean, you can put a little bit of my cup sober into it. You can put some vanilla through that
1:44
I mean, pancakes are not just really for pancake day for now. I mean, realistically, they're on pretty much every brunch menu
1:50
You make them a lot at home with your kids, don't you? I do. I make them a lot at home, yeah. My children love pancakes
1:55
What about the savoury pancakes I like savoury pancakes Well I got some bacon for myself Oh now that nice And some maple syrup Oh you like a savoury do you I like savoury
2:05
Sweet and savoury together, though. I've got some nice, beautiful maple syrup here. Well, mate, what's coming through for me is this lemon-infused yoghurt
2:13
You like it? I really do. That's really delicate. Really, really nice
2:17
Mmm! Is it good? Nice and fresh. Eamon's a big honey fan
2:21
I want to try a bit of the honey, cos I like it. Yeah, try a bit. That looks great. We've got some bacon now
2:25
That looks good. You'd like the look of that. Oh, that's gone. That's bacon and maple syrup
2:30
Bacon and maple syrup, classic combination. Do you see that story yesterday about Gen Z not liking pancakes
2:37
They think it's too much like hard work. They don't know what Shrove Tuesday's all about
2:42
How do you feel? Pancakes are the most easiest thing in the world to make
2:46
I mean, you don't even need... Delish. Nice. You don't even need..
2:50
You know, all you need is staples, really. You've got your flour, your eggs. And your milk
2:55
You know what I always wanted to do What Is you know when you have those hot plates and they have those people on there and they have those sweepy things Yeah What are they called Those like they like they sort of just lay on the hot plate
3:05
and then... Oh, yeah, like a crepe. It's like a little bit of a... I could do that all day
3:09
They're amazing. Yeah, that's my favourite. They're amazing. Anyone wants the bacon one now
3:15
There's some icing sugar here, too. From the sweet to the savoury version
3:19
Oh, I can't even lift that. That's really heavy. Yeah. There you go. It would be a shame not to use it
3:24
That's lovely. I keep going on about it. Hold that up, Eamon, cos that looks really good. It does look really good
3:28
It looks really lovely. Get a nice shot of that. Were those Dutch ones a bit hot on for you
3:32
I think you got a particularly spicy one. I did. It gave me a little kick
3:36
I like them, cos they do give you a little kick. It's a good opportunity, though, isn't it
3:40
to get creative with the kids, cos you can do anything with them. A million percent
3:44
And what I tend to do at home is, if I've got any batter left over, slice some peppers, some mushrooms
3:51
some, you know, Asian vegetables, spring onions and stuff. Put it into a bowl, put your batter mix into it
3:58
and pan fry it
