The GB News 12 Days of Christmas. Day 2
0:05
Hello, my name is Marjorie and I'm a Baptist Minister in the Centre of Sheffield
0:11
Happy Christmas to you in this season. Yesterday was a wonderful day of celebration
0:18
We celebrated Emmanuel, God with us, God given to us. and on Boxing Day we get the chance to mirror this heart of generosity. Maybe the gifts have
0:32
now been unwrapped, there's wrapping paper everywhere, the meals have been eaten and the
0:37
house is a bit messier than usual, relationships might even be strained but God's invitation for
0:44
today is simple, let what you have received from him overflow into how you treat others
0:51
as Jesus said in the scripture freely you have received freely give that doesn't always mean
0:59
giving money or items to those in need though it can mean this like the boxing day tradition
1:05
it can also mean giving forgiveness patience an encouraging word or a listening ear
1:12
sometimes being with family gives us the perfect opportunity to do these very things with people
1:19
who are in our closest orbit. It can mean slowing down long enough
1:24
to see someone who feels unseen. It can mean carrying peace, the peace of Christ
1:31
into the ordinary day after the holidays. When we share generously, we don't lose anything
1:38
We simply pass along what God has already poured into us
