Today's reflection is taken from the words of Jesus in John chapter 16, verse 16

A little while and you shall not see me, and again, a little while and you shall see me, because I go to the Father

Jesus was preparing his disciples for a change they did not fully understand

He was going to the Father. To them, it sounded like another loss

But it wasn't the end. It was the beginning of a new way of walking with him

The Holy Spirit was coming. Change is never easy. But in God's hand, change becomes a preparation for something greater

Baba Johnson once said, The only thing that makes life bearable is change

And the only thing that makes change bearable is God. So here is something practical

When life shifts, I pause and I pray, Lord, what are you preparing me for

And I also pray, God, would you help me to trust you in every season of transition

When I don't understand change, remind me that you are in control

So today we remember that whatever change is happening to us, God is always in control
