I'm Gary Bembridge and I want to talk
0:01
about the eight places you can actually
0:04
cruise to in the next month over ten
0:07
different cruise lines are sailing in
0:09
the next month and there is actually a
0:11
brand-new cruise capital of the world it
0:14
is no longer Florida certainly for now
0:17
there's also two men bloom about
0:19
cruising as we know the cruise lines out
0:21
of the US ports have suspended all
0:24
cruising's right through to the middle
0:26
of September some even longer the same
0:28
out of the UK Spain has announced that
0:30
cruise ships are no longer allowed in
0:32
any of its ports indefinitely Australia
0:35
and New Zealand have extended right into
0:36
quarter three Canada have stopped cruise
0:39
ships over a certain size however there
0:42
is some really good news there are eight
0:43
different places you can cruise to so
0:45
let's take a look at them they cover the
0:47
United States Europe and Asia and even
0:50
more exotic places than that Norway has
0:53
emerged as the brand-new cruise capital
0:56
of the world this gives you the most
0:58
options in terms of cruising however at
1:00
this point in time you do need to be
1:02
norwegian or danish who to griten have
1:05
started sailing already
1:07
they now have up to five ships sailing
1:09
along the Norwegian coastline as I
1:12
mentioned you have to be Norwegian and
1:14
Danish but they are looking to
1:15
eventually open it up to more
1:17
international tourists an example of
1:19
that is they have also started a sailing
1:22
out of Hamburg Germany for German
1:24
passengers this is a very interesting
1:26
cruise because it heads up over ten days
1:29
up to the Norwegian fjords however there
1:32
are no on land call so all of the
1:34
activities take place in our IB boats or
1:37
kayaking so they're all on water kind of
1:40
excursions however Norway and on
1:42
Norwegian fjords it's incredibly
1:44
beautiful so she's seeing it from the
1:45
water is fantastic anyway also in Norway
1:48
see dream the ultra luxury yacht star
1:51
cruising they started sailing with now
1:53
both of their ships see dream one and
1:55
see dream two again for Norwegian and
1:58
Danish passengers only
2:00
so certainly Norway is where there is
2:02
the most cruising activity of all in the
2:05
Tahiti and French Polynesia has also
2:08
opened to cruising they're starting
2:09
initially with two cruises one on the
2:11
11th of July and the other on the
2:13
in July Tahiti and society island
2:15
voyages which are initially for local
2:18
people only however their opening to
2:20
international travelers as French
2:22
Polynesia opens its gates the first
2:24
international cruise which is taking
2:26
place on pronounce Paul Gauguin ship is
2:28
starting up and available for
2:30
international travelers from all around
2:32
the world on the 29th of July however if
2:36
you do want to cruise in French
2:38
Polynesia you have to have done a covert
2:39
19 tests within 72 hours of boarding the
2:43
plane to Tahiti that's also requirement
2:46
to board the ship you have to have that
2:48
certificate so certainly if you want to
2:50
go cruising and you wanna have a full
2:51
cruising experience Tahiti is another
2:54
place to go it is open to international
2:55
travelers the third area can cruise is
2:58
Iceland Iceland that said that we're
2:59
going to open to cruising and they have
3:01
allowed the very first international
3:04
expedition cruise to take place and so
3:06
ponit are heading up to the area and
3:09
they will start sailing during July
3:12
they're going to be running seven night
3:14
a 2-day cruises on a brand new ship they
3:18
these are expedition cruises so they're
3:19
not necessarily calling at the normal
3:21
places so you fly in from Paris which is
3:25
part of the deal you have to do a cover
3:27
19 test at the airport that cost you
3:29
about a hundred euros about a hundred US
3:31
dollars you then have to wait up to five
3:34
hours for the test assuming that you are
3:36
negative then the ship will let you
3:39
board that's the current rule so anyone
3:41
flying into Iceland has to do that as I
3:43
mentioned most of these cruises are
3:44
going to be expedition cruises so
3:45
they're not calling out the usual places
3:46
you'd expect you go into really wild and
3:48
remote parts of Iceland seeing places
3:50
you're gonna head up through into the
3:54
so certainly if you want to go cruising
3:55
it's open international travelers the
3:57
other place that you couldn't go ocean
3:59
cruising is in France France is lifting
4:01
its health emergency on the 11th of July
4:04
and that allows cruises in France
4:07
to take place also very importantly is
4:09
the borders between EU countries have
4:11
lifted so certainly for French
4:12
passengers and some EU passengers are
4:14
going to be able to sail in France and
4:17
soap or not it's going to be the first
4:18
cruise ship that will start selling on
4:20
the 11th of July they're going to be
4:23
selling out of French ports to French
4:25
only and they are putting five ships
4:28
onto various different itineraries it's
4:30
really targeted initially at French
4:32
citizens and also increasingly to EU
4:35
citizens across in Asia cruising is also
4:38
going to be starting up right at the end
4:40
of July and this is going to take place
4:42
in Taiwan the getting owned dream
4:45
cruises has the permission to start
4:47
sailing they can be sailing with one of
4:48
their ships and that is the Explorer
4:51
dream and this is going to be doing a
4:53
little bit like the French example only
4:55
calling to Taiwanese destinations so
4:58
it's going to go island hopping and it
5:00
is only going to be initially for
5:01
Taiwanese residents so that is a cruise
5:04
it's starting up and certainly again
5:05
ting with their dream and their Star
5:06
Cruises is negotiating very actively to
5:08
start a similar thing out of China but
5:10
they are not confirmed to start yet in
5:12
july european river cruising is starting
5:15
to open up and the big trigger for that
5:18
was when the borders between each of the
5:21
EU countries opened on the 15th of june
5:25
and that did unlock the ability for
5:28
European cruises to start at the moment
5:30
there's not that much choice in what you
5:32
can do however you can go river cruising
5:33
Nikko cruises started out on the Rhine
5:36
really targeting German passengers Arosa
5:38
has been the most active again really
5:40
targeting German speakers and German
5:42
passengers and they've started up on the
5:44
dry row they've also started up now on
5:46
the Rhine on on the Danube they haven't
5:49
started up in France yet but they will
5:51
start up in the middle of July and their
5:53
first cruise is going to be on the 15th
5:54
of July crossing Europe which is the
5:56
biggest cruise operated in terms of the
5:59
number of ships they're French based and
6:01
they also plan to start rolling up their
6:03
cruise ships during July so if you want
6:05
to sell in France there Brian and Danube
6:07
and then from August they are taking
6:09
bookings now for the daughter in
6:10
Portugal mostly of the cruise lines
6:13
which rely very heavily though on us
6:15
passengers are not really planning
6:16
startup till much later
6:18
although the borders between EU
6:20
countries have been open and that also
6:22
includes the UK which is of course left
6:24
the EU however the United States is
6:27
excluded from entering the EU at this
6:30
point in time Russia China and a few
6:32
other countries including those
6:33
countries in South America not yet
6:35
included so those cruise lines there's
6:37
river cruise lines that rely
6:39
heavily on us passengers are going to
6:41
struggle a little bit more to open up
6:43
but certainly if you're in the EU one of
6:45
the EU countries you're going to be able
6:46
to go river cruising mentally with
6:48
limited choice if you're in the United
6:51
State what are your options well one of
6:53
your key options is river cruising the
6:55
web players so much earlier by the
6:57
American cruise lines however some of
6:59
the researchers of over 19 pulled that
7:02
however they are now sign up and do
7:04
start selling on the Mississippi and
7:06
those sailing start on July the 12th and
7:09
they will be the first us-based cruise
7:12
line that can start selling very
7:14
important to understand is the CDC the
7:16
Center for Disease Control has a no sale
7:18
order however that only applies to ships
7:21
with fewer than 250 passengers your
7:24
other option if you are in the u.s. is
7:27
uncrewed his plane start up as we head
7:31
out of July in the beginning of August
7:32
in Alaska so again they don't fall under
7:35
the CDC rules because they do have fewer
7:37
than 250 passengers very importantly to
7:40
note for people heading into Alaska
7:42
again Alaska currently has the
7:44
requirement to have a Cove in nineteen
7:46
tests to be able to enter the state and
7:48
of course that will be a requirement to
7:49
be able to cruise with anchors in Alaska
7:52
so although ocean cruising certainly in
7:54
the big biggest market which is the
7:56
United States the Caribbean it is
7:58
currently closed and locked down with no
8:00
real Sun of that unlocking yet across
8:02
the Mediterranean there's still no signs
8:04
that big movements between countries
8:06
with ocean cruising is starting up
8:08
anytime soon we have no dates on that
8:10
and certainly a lot of the Mediterranean
8:12
based cruise lines have not announced
8:13
they've got absolute approval to start
8:16
sailing because many of those had
8:17
included Spanish ports which of course
8:18
are closed however there are at least as
8:21
of recording eight different places to
8:24
go cruising a lot of it depends on what
8:25
nationality you are over ten cruise
8:28
lines cruising has started to roll out
8:31
and has small signs are beginning to
8:34
start up again I have loads more videos
8:36
of cruise updates tips advice so why
8:38
don't you watch another one of those
