and wall street thought this was a

significant development

so i'm going to take a look in this

cruise update around exactly what's

happening

with testing as cruising opens up and

what the cruise lines are saying

especially

the leaders of those really big groups

the carnival corporation norwegian

cruise lines and the royal caribbean

there are currently three different

approaches to testing as cruising has

opened up particularly in europe

two of those have had very mixed results

the first approach of course is no

testing this is where they rely on some

screening

answering various questions and

temperature checks this has largely

not worked that well so hutu gruten is

and one of their ships the roland

a large percentage of their crew and a

cruising certainly for them

in germany they also started up cruising

without testing so royal caribbean has a

partnership with tui cruises and they

have two cruise lines

started their cruises they didn't have

testing as part of the process however

they are moving to testing and they're

introducing a partnership

from september with a chain of clinics

called helios and every passenger who

now has to go and have a cover 19 test

within 72 hours of heading off on one of

that approach being used is really

type of approach to testing and that's

having a test 72 hours or 48 hours

problems and a setback so for example

then got a result once the crews had set

they discovered that they had a positive

result the ship had a turnaround head

the ship was sent to quarantine while

everyone was tested everyone actually

but the entire alaska season by uncruise

so that whole approach is flawed the

royal caribbean have probably been the

most outspoken about
