Rise of Russia's Repeater Drones - Kasatka, TraMP and Knyaz Vandal of Novgorod

622 views Jan 28, 2025

In this video, we explore Russia’s groundbreaking Kasatka drone, officially introduced in January 2025. Nicknamed the "Killer Whale," this multifunctional UAV is designed to transform modern warfare with its cutting-edge capabilities. Developed by Aerofregat in Novosibirsk, the Kasatka serves as a versatile asset for offensive operations, reconnaissance missions, and signal relay, redefining military efficiency on the battlefield. Operating at altitudes between 1 and 2 kilometers, the Kasatka can transmit radio commands over a 50-kilometer range while coordinating other drones like the kamikaze Tribunal quadcopters. It can also function as a kamikaze UAV itself, delivering up to 3 kilograms of explosives with an operational range of 70 kilometers. Equipped with radar reflectors, the drone can act as a decoy to distract adversary defenses, protecting high-value assets such as Geran and Orion drones. The Kasatka is part of a broader Russian initiative to modernize its military drone arsenal, supported by the Kulibin Club of the People's Front, a group dedicated to advancing domestic engineering for defense purposes. Alongside the Kasatka, Russia has developed other drones like the Trump UAV, capable of carrying 250 kilograms of cargo over 600 kilometers, and the KVN drone, a precision-strike device resistant to electronic interference. We also examine how global players like NATO, the United States, China, and Ukraine are advancing their drone technologies to meet modern military challenges. From NATO's modular MAUS drone to China’s Wing Loong II and Ukraine’s Vidlunnia aerial repeater, the race to integrate AI, communication relays, and counter-drone measures is shaping the future of warfare. #KasatkaDrone #DroneTechnology #RussianDrones Be a Member for exclusive privileges - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCviEFTf1xIPKsjmyF_zvFug/join Twitter : https://x.com/AltitudeAddicts Website: https://www.altitudeaddicts.com
