What is up everybody, welcome to this new video of Shopify

Inside Techpress, I'm going to be showing you how we can customize some shipping rates inside Shopify
0:12
So once we are in here in Shopify, let's go and do this really really quick. You want to
0:16
focus into the settings inside your Shopify. And once we are in here
0:20
you want to locate the shipping and delivery. Inside the shipping and delivery, we are going to be choosing the general shipping rates
0:28
and the custom shipping rates, the processing time and the local delivery
0:32
If you are making some dropshipping, you are making some paint on demand, this stuff is
0:36
automatically filled up. But if you are selling stuff manually, we need
0:40
to do this manually. So with that being said, what I wanted to do
0:44
is to start by going to the shipping section. We have the
0:48
general shipping rates. We have the general, zero products, rate for domestic and international. Assuming that I have a few products
0:56
I need to first find out which are the rates for my shipping
1:00
host. So what I'm going to do is go into manage and this
1:04
one should be taking me into the shipping origins. So I do have
1:08
the shipping zone, which in my case is United States. If you want to change
1:12
your shipping origin, just go into manage and you can change it for
1:16
another one. So here in the shipping zones, we have the rate name
1:20
the condition, the time, the price and there we go. So we have the economy, we have the
1:28
economy, standard, standard with different condition type. So this one is like five pounds, five pounds, seventy pounds
1:36
more than one pound, like a hundred and more. So here's the actual price is going to be listed
1:44
automatically from our actual shipping zone. If you wanted to check it out, if you wanted to edit this shipping zone
1:52
I can totally suggest you to find out an international shipping code calculator. So this one should be helping us
2:00
to find out which is like the shipping codes from one place into another one
2:04
For example, the US sales tax-free and I want to send this into Canada, for example, and the package waste list, for example
2:12
this one is ten pounds. So go and get my rates. So what's going to happen here is that this one should be
2:20
telling us which is the estimated shipping cost of different shipping rates of different suppliers. For example, there's DHL
2:28
Express, there's FedEx, there's FedEx Priority, there's UPS Expedition and what you want to do is to figure out which one fits for you
2:36
the best. In our case, I believe like the most easiest and
2:40
not cost us like a lot is the DHL Express Smallbox. So I want to go into 33 USD dollars
2:48
and paste that information in here, which is international. I'm going to open a new rate. Let's go for 20 times
2:56
Actually, what I want to do is to go here into the create
3:00
zone. And this is the part where I wanted to complete the
3:04
zone here. So I'm going to go into add my rates, set up your own rates
3:08
or use carrier or app to calculate rates. This one should be like helping us not to look out
3:16
for an estimated shipping cost calculator. So we can do this inside Shopify. So we can choose UPS, we can choose DHL
3:24
whatever you want to. So we go here services, let's go only
3:28
into future services. Let's go for handling free. The percentage is here. So I'll just calculate rates to count for packing and
3:36
handle the cost. So I wanted to go and look out for the percent here and the flat amount is let's say
3:44
$366. Hit now into done and as you can see everything has now been automatically
3:52
added. So the handling fee price is the 30% plus the $66 of the 20 times calculated
4:00
So here is the order. I can go into add my rate and I can add something else. So the 20 times let's go for
4:08
economy and here the price it's automatically added as free. So I can go and leave it like that and I can add a new one. Let's say for example
4:16
now a standard international to three business days use career or app to calculate this element. So I'm going here
4:24
and instead of choosing let's say DHL I'm going to go for UPS commotion address only. Hit now
4:32
into done and automatically those rated to be appearing in here. So I'm going to go here once again to add my rate, use career
4:40
I'm going to use the thought one first class the thought one of them the percentage these are
4:48
handling fee. It just calculated a rate to account for packaging and handling cost. So I need to add the percentage
4:56
and the flat amount that I'm going to be taking here. In my case
5:00
it should be $22 and the percentage should be 15% and hit now
5:04
into done. Here into UPS what we need to do is to register with UPS. If the shipping for Mercedes-Benz press confirm
5:12
if this is shipping for Mercedes-Benz in our case it is not before
5:16
using UPS rates you must confirm that we are not shipping related items. Let's go for tobacco, alcoholic, dangerous goods
5:24
or lithium batteries. So I enable these options. I have read and agree
5:28
to the Shopify terms of service in the UPS rate and agreement
5:32
so I enable both of them and hit to submit and continue. So in order to make
5:36
the registration here of the UPS I need to type the country, the first
5:40
my address, my apartment suit, the city, the state, the zip code
5:44
and the phone number in order to continue. So once you have successfully done that
5:48
the UPS registration is going to be added automatically and of course the address will not be affecting to the shipping rates
5:56
or be reflected into our labels. This is just to help us
6:00
find out which is the person who is sending or let's say
6:04
selling this actual product. So once you fill all of that information
6:08
this should be saved it like right away. So then you can do start shipping to more places if you want to. You need to go
6:16
to the markets and figure it out which one should be like really really helpful for us. For example the primary market for myself
6:24
is United States but then later on I can try to look out for
6:28
international and countries regions that we don't sell to is going to be appearing
6:32
in here. So the conversion rates are appearing in here how many sales
6:36
how many show of the total and I can go and add a recommended marketplace
6:40
for example I can add Australia, I can add United Kingdom or I can add Canada
6:44
as we just did before manually but this one should be added automatically
6:48
so the markets should be added in here and should be appearing here the domains
6:52
and the language, the product and the pricing, the duties and import taxes, shipping
6:56
cost, the store setting, the payment, the taxes and as you can see the market is now being enabled so if people come from Canada
7:04
there's actually I believe that there's not going to be any kind of travel here. So I'm going to add a new market here
7:12
and even we have the geolocation app installed so the people the customer who signed in automatically is going to be changing the preferences like
7:20
if they're using Amazon for example automatically it's going to be sending you into
7:24
the country where you're actually currently living. So I hit now into preview
7:28
into English for example and opening zoom as you can see this one needs to have an actual passcode in my case
7:36
I'm not going to be focusing on that. Then now into the right part we have
7:40
a few recommendations we need to enable Shopify payments, start collecting duties and import taxes
7:44
add a market for United Kingdom and blah blah blah blah. So with that being said guys
7:48
we have now checked out the shipping rates and cost for our
7:52
actual zone outside even United States so with that being said guys hopefully this was a very useful information for you you can check it out everything
8:00
about your market in here and all about your shipping and delivery sections into the settings and of course the taxes and duty
8:08
which I think is like really really really important to collect that information in
8:12
here and well with that being said guys we have now reached into the very end of the video so
