How To Set Up & Use Coinbase Wallet (Complete Tutorial)

Hey there, welcome to this new video, in this tutorial let's take a look how we can start

using the Coinbase wallet application, so this is going to be a really easy tutorial

I'm going to show you like the basic of what we can do into Coinbase, and if you don't

have a Coinbase account, if you are not using Coinbase, I'm going to leave you guys a link

down below in the description, so you can get a few rewards just by signing up, so let's

get into it. Alright, so first of all I'm going to select here the option to download the Coinbase wallet

in my case I do select the option to download from Chrome, because I'm currently using my

computer, but if you are using an Android or an IOS you can choose whatever option fits

for you the best, in my case I choose for Chrome, then it's really easy just to hit

into add to Opera, now if you are using a computer just as I am doing that, at the

moment I'm going to hit into add extension, this is not going to be an application per se, it's going to be actually an extension that can be accessible in the browser that

you are using, so if you hit into your extensions, here is going to be appearing the Coinbase

wallet, so here we go, create a new wallet, if you don't have a wallet, it's just really

simple to hit into create new wallet, and then it's going to be asking for a username

so you want to choose a username after you hit into the availability, for example this

one is available, I'm going to hit into allow other wallet users to search for my username

just in case you want to receive money from other users inside Coinbase, so after that

hit into submit, alright so here you have the backup of your wallet, this is a really

really really important part of the video, you are going to be provided with 12 words

this is like a password, just in case that you lose or you want to import your Coinbase

into another wallet, for example into another device like a phone, like an Android or like

even another browser, I'm using Opera, but let's say I want to sign into Chrome or into

Mozilla, so they need to, once you import, once you hit into import wallet, it's going

to be asking for a 12 words that actually appears in here, so you want to copy those

to the clipboard and paste it into a new note or into your calendar or write it down into

your phone, wherever you want it to be, but please don't forget these 12 words, these

are exclusive words for your own wallet, so this is just for security reasons, after that

hit into I understand, that if I lose my query phrase, I will lose all of the crypto in my

wallet and hit into continue, now just to be sure that your account has been created

you have to provide the first and the last word that appears into your 12 recovery phrase

wallet, after that it's going to be asking to create a passcode in order to sign in the

next time you want to enter here, so I'm going to hit into this passcode and here I'm going

to verify this, add it to match, you want to make sure that you have these three lines

the arrows that is a good passcode, you want to agree to the terms and privacy policy

hit into continue, and just like that our wallet has been created and we are now ready

to go, so what we want to do is to hit into, in my case, into the people who are using

your computer, you want to choose extensions, in here I have the extension of Coinbase

so just in case I don't lose this again, I want to pin this so I can see this in the

upper side, so I'm going to hit in here and voila, here is my Coinbase wallet, so I want

to hit in here, so as you can see we do have the buy, the swap, the bridge, the send and

received money, and down here we have the assets, the transactions we've made so far

the explore section, the community and some settings, and lastly we can see our cryptos

our NFTs and our DeFi stuff, just in case that you are starting to earn money here into

your Coinbase, so the very basic way to use your wallet is that if you want to buy a specific

token, you want to choose the option that says buy, and here it's going to be asking

you if you can add cryptos from your Coinbase account or another wallet, so what we want

to do is to add crypto with our Coinbase Pay, so once you choose this option, what's

going to happen is we need to authorize the Coinbase wallet to access our Coinbase account

in my case I already have an account created into Coinbase account, the Coinbase wallet

is almost as a Coinbase account, this is like something different because the Coinbase extension

which is actually this one, is a decentralized exchange where you can buy, you can see your

cryptos, you can make trades and all that, so that's the reason why you want to have

a Coinbase account as well as your Coinbase wallet, so you don't have to worry about that

you have the links down below in the description, so once you have your account, what you want

to do is to hit into the option that says authorize, so it's going to be authorizing

that and just like that, here we have the Coinbase Pay, so here we need to select the

asset that we want to buy, asset means crypto, so I want to choose for example USD coin

and after that it's going to be telling you, let's say I want to buy 10MX and hit into

preview buy, now let's see what happens into this specific situation, so as you can see

here I have a network of Ethereum, I can choose Polygon or Solana if I wanted to, so in my

case I'm going to choose USDC of some polygon of another network I want to go into, I understand

and once I have made the change of that network, I'm going to hit into continue, and initially

seeing the part that says Coinbase is buying your crypto, I'm pretty sure that sometimes

well this transaction might not be available for me because I have my card blocked a few

minutes ago, but you guys just go ahead and go into continue, so what I need to do is

to go into my Coinbase, and here into my assets, I should see that my money is now available

in here, and if you want to see your crypto you want to go into add cryptos, and you can

transfer that from another wallet, last thing, if you want to receive the money, if you want

to receive tokens, you want to choose the option that says receive, and here it's going

to be providing you an Ethereum address, and a Solana address, so when you want to receive

a token, it's really important to tell the people, the person who's going to be sending

you your money, to choose the right address, for example, let's say that you're going to be receiving Solana, so Solana has its own Solana network, so you want to provide this

address, so once you provide this address, you want to go back, and you can receive your

money, or you can choose the username, choose the person that you want to send your money

and then it's really just easy to the people to look for you, and just make the payment

and your money should be available in here, if I want to select a token, I want to change

from one into another one, I want to choose the option that says swap, and I can do this

transaction into my Coinbase Pay, which is actually appearing in here, and lastly, as

you can see, this 6 code verification, it's only for security reasons, because I do have

a authentication application that can be helping me to double secure my, let's say my account

if you want to do this, I'm going to be showing you just in a few seconds, so after you hit

into continue, here is my 10 MX of my money, and I can just exit, go into my wallet, which

is actually on the upper side, and here I need to go back, and as you see that my assets

are now available, if I don't see my money yet, just remember to choose to use the right

network, here is networks, I want to choose the Solana, or I'm going to hit into X, and

here you want to choose, let's say for example, Polygon, so once you choose Polygon, you want

to go into the 3 dots, hit into save, and you can go into your assets, so the last thing

that I can be telling you guys is that if you go into your settings, but for that you

need to go into your Coinbase account, the main account of your exchange, go into settings

and once you are here in settings, you want to go into the option that says security

and once we are in here, you want to look for the 2 step verification, it's really easy

you need to just download either Google Authenticator or Duo, and you can import that into your

phone, and you might be having a custom code to double check your account, it's really

really easy to verify and secure your account, so now that you have a Coinbase account, now

that you have a wallet, we can start buying, selling, making swaps, and all that kind of
