Trump admin refusing to return deported man

Two federal judges are moving to hold the Trump administration accountable for separate cases of deportations

Let's begin with the deportations of some Venezuelan migrants last month to a notorious prison in El Salvador

Judge James Boesberg says he has found probable cause to hold the administration in criminal contempt for deporting the migrants to the prison

despite his order to turn their flights around. The White House promises an appeal

The judge says that if the administration does not give these migrants the chance to challenge their deportations

he could hold contempt proceedings to try and determine who is responsible for defying his order

If that doesn't work, he threatened to refer the case to the Justice Department for prosecution

And then if the department refuses to bring charges, Boesburg says he will appoint an outside prosecutor

In the other case another federal judge said Tuesday that she is undertaking her own investigation to see if the White House violated a Supreme Court ruling calling on it to facilitate the return of Kilmar Abrego Garcia He is that married father who had been living in Maryland and was mistakenly deported to the same prison in El Salvador as the

Venezuelan migrants. Maryland Senator Chris Van Hollen traveled to El Salvador yesterday

to push for Abrego Garcia's release. The Trump administration maintains that Abrego Garcia

has been a member of MS-13. He is not coming back to our country

President Bukele said he was not sending him back. That's the end of the story

If he wanted to send him back, we would give him a plane ride back

If you listen to President Trump and the Trump administration, you would think that the U.S. courts have found that Mr. Abrego-Garcia is part of MS-13

But in fact, they have not found that. Senator Van Hollen contends that Abrego Garcia was illegally abducted from the U.S

He was not allowed into the prison where Abrego Garcia is being held in El Salvador
