Human-to-human hantavirus transmission suspected on cruise ship

The World Health Organization said Tuesday it suspected that hantavirus may have spread between people on a cruise ship, with three dead among seven confirmed and suspected cases. "We do believe that there may be some human-to-human transmission that is happening among the really close contacts," the WHO's epidemic and pandemic preparedness and prevention director Maria Van Kerkhove told reporters.
