Erik Menendez refused parole three decades after parents' murder

Erik Menendez was denied parole on Thursday, the California Board of Parole Hearings said, three decades after being jailed for life – along with his brother Lyle – for killing their parents in their Beverly Hills home in 1989. The pair say they acted in self-defense after years of emotional and sexual abuse at the hands of a tyrannical father.
