Deaths outnumber births in France

Despite an increase in the number of women of childbearing age in France, the number giving birth is at a low. In 2025 there were more deaths than births which has some towns concerned that they are losing the number of residents. Eliza Herbert has this story from our colleagues at France 2 that looks at how to explain the demographic shift.
