Poverty on the rise in France

In France, the most vulnerable households—families, the sick, and foreign nationals—are growing poorer, warns an annual report. Median income for those assisted fell from €658 in 2014 to €565 in 2024, with 95% below the poverty line and 74% in extreme poverty.
