#fostering #cat #dog #pets Often pet owners are faced with a difficult problem. Owners need to go somewhere for a short or longer period of time, and there is no one to leave the pet with. Not everyone has relatives or trusted friends who are willing to take their pets with them. Shelters: what they are and what they are like. In such cases, a temporary shelter is an excellent solution. There are two types: private and hotel-based. In the first case, a normal person (sitter or nanny) takes care of your pet and takes it directly into their home. The pet often moves freely around the apartment and can come into contact with the sitter's animals, if any. In the second case, the pet will live in a specially equipped hotel, under the supervision of staff members or even veterinarians. In a pet hotel, the animals usually live in an aviary or a spacious cage with all the necessities. If a dog is in the kennel, the hotel staff will take it for as long as the pet owner wishes. Animals that have lost their owners completely may also be placed in a long-term private care facility. Shelters are often overcrowded, so volunteers resort to the help of sitters. Such help can be either free of charge or paid for. Usually, in the second case, money is given only for obligatory needs - food, filler, a minimum set of toys, and so on. The main difficulty in rehoming is choosing a trustworthy dog sitter or shelter. Surveys on the internet and recommendations from friends should be taken into consideration. Veterinary surgeries may be able to help, as they often have a list of good pet sitters or pet hotels. Of course, there are pros and cons to this choice of temporary accommodation for a pet. Let's look at both sides. _____________________ Please, subscribe to 1minanimals: ttps://www.youtube.com/@minanimals
