Perfect. So far, so good. It's four minutes past. I will give it another 10 seconds
0:11
And there's now. Let's just start. Let's start. People have got things to do, places to go. It's enough time to make a cup of tea if you ask me
0:17
So, yeah, thanks everyone for joining today. As I alluded to there, what we're going to do today is have a look at how to use video to help with SEO
0:25
It's something that we are talking a lot about internally at the moment
0:30
and externally with all of our publishers. So I wanted to come back and revisit this as a topic
0:35
basically just to get me thinking about other opportunities. Who am I to be telling you all of the stuff
0:43
My name is Paul down here today as a publisher video specialist. I recently have moved from the account management team
0:50
into working pretty much full-time on our Flickafy product, which is an excellent tool
0:56
I'm based out of our London office. I've been with us over five years now
1:00
as I sort of mentioned, I've been a VIP success manager, international market lead
1:04
now I'm working on Flickify Tool like sport, and I love playing my electric guitar
1:09
which currently isn't on the wall. But if you've been to one of my webinars before, they're normally up behind me
1:13
But in a new house, I haven't had a chance to get them mounted just yet. So what are we looking at today
1:20
A couple of different things. As I mentioned earlier, the webinar's broken into a couple of different sections
1:24
So the first is really about identifying a video strategy or, you know, why a video
1:29
strategy and why now. The second is an overview of Flickify and how we see that fitting into
1:35
helping you with a video strategy. The third is tying Humix in to get content ranking and then
1:39
step four is we tie all of that together and hopefully what we can do is help you to get your
1:44
domains, your content out there, seen help with revenue, help with traffic, everything that we
1:50
want to be helping with all in one section. And then at the end, obviously, there are probably
1:56
of you questions. I hope there are questions, but I'll leave plenty of time to make sure that we
2:00
go through all of those. So probably have about 20 odd slides, but I do want to leave time at the
2:05
end to make sure that I can answer any queries that people have. So without further ado, obviously
2:12
I say obviously, we've all seen recently that Google has gone through a bit of a change. Not sure
2:18
all of it's necessarily super helpful for the users, despite what Google intended. But one of the
2:23
main changes that we have noticed is there is more video being shown in Serbs. And that's
2:32
like undeniable that we're definitely seeing that Google have confirmed it. What they're saying
2:35
is that any piece of content or any keyword, I should say, that has video intent. They are
2:40
showing video for, which makes sense right. You imagine Google, they're losing market share to
2:47
TikTok, Instagram, I guess to a certain percent YouTube shorts as well. People are in just in just
2:53
and engaging with video content. So they're trying to see how they can sort of reclaim that market
2:58
So any search with video intent, they're returning video. So you can see here, this is an example
3:06
This search was how to change my windscreen wipers, so it's quite visual, something that, you know
3:11
someone would expect to maybe see a video demonstration of. And yeah, straightway, one response of written text
3:18
Then afterwards, you know, we have videos all the way down. So it's clear that there is more
3:22
clear that there is more video being shown. And I guess an early jumping off point is how many people
3:28
have noticed that. And you can respond in the chat for this one. I know I said obviously taking
3:32
questions, but I'm asking the question this time. So like, are people seeing that shift? Are people
3:37
seeing more video returned in their in their Google searches? Yep, yep. A couple of yes. I'm going to take that as a
3:52
But yeah, we're starting to see that. So again, then the first and immediate question is, you know, not expecting an answer straight
4:00
away, but like, is that playing on your mind? Are you doing something to prepare for that
4:05
And are you looking to future proof your content by also starting to create video to compete
4:08
in that sphere? So I'm not expecting an answer straight away. But that's hopefully the questions that I want you to leave today's webinar thinking about
4:15
And we will hopefully have solutions and answers to those questions. and again we can see that articles with video generate more organic traffic so much we've done a search
4:29
what they've shown is articles with at least one video on the page 52% more traffic I can share
4:37
this article at the end just remind me and I'll share the sources that I have from these
4:42
slides so you can see return comes back from Google we have page we have video we have discussions
4:49
and forums. So more so than ever, written content is somewhat being squeezed. So we need to make
4:57
sure that we have these different ways of driving traffic to the page. And that's where we think
5:01
video is going to play a part. So how can we get video ranking? How can we do it? We know that video
5:08
has to be the main content of the page in order to rank, which ties into what I'm going to talk about
5:14
later, pardon me, with humics. But we have solutions and we have ways that we can help
5:19
you get to that point. Yeah, again, when we're looking at high-performing pages
5:25
what we're seeing is they're embedding content into the page. However, what is surprising and what I have found surprising
5:34
is that only 8% of blog posts that Samrush yzed are currently trying to capitalize by having a video on the page
5:42
So, you know, 92% of pages currently do not, which is surprising
5:49
it does say that there's an opportunity there to get ahead of the game
5:53
So we know that it's helping drive traffic. We know that it helps increase organic searches
5:58
But there's still a big opportunity of people not currently doing this
6:02
So opportunities exist. When I saw someone try to raise the hand there, like I said
6:12
we just direct the questions into the chat And I promise I will answer them as and when we come around to them So okay there clearly an opportunity but there are problems right
6:25
You know, it's all well and truly sat here saying, well, it's easy. Just make video content, put it on the page, and you'll get that traffic
6:31
But lots of people who we work with at Ozoic tend to be written publishers first
6:38
So they're excellent at writing blogs, articles, and engaging written content. but that jumping off point into being a video creator is difficult
6:47
It's time consuming. You need equipment. The ability to go back and make edits to content is very difficult
6:54
So expecting people just to be able to go out and start. It's problematic
6:58
You know, problems that we often hear, creating video content is too time consuming
7:03
Yeah. It's too expensive and low cost options return low quality. So people recognize that there is an opportunity as, you know
7:12
we discussed in the chat, but getting to the point where you feel comfortable getting into that space is very difficult
7:19
So what can be done? That's kind of where Flickify comes in
7:26
And that's kind of the bridge that we're trying to help our publishers cross
7:30
So, yeah, you have all this excellent content, but turning it into videos is or has been problematic
7:39
How are we offering those solutions? So solutions Flickify offers rapid creation, you know, it takes about five to ten minutes per video of Flickify, cost effective between $3 to $6 creating and high quality
7:51
Yeah, we're helping create high quality engaging standalone content that stands on its own that will help drive content, drive traffic, pardon me, back to the page
8:06
Yeah, so I guess in the chat, have people come across Flickify or on
8:10
not quite yet. That would base how I sort of go through the next section
8:25
Perfect. People have come across Flickify before, which is fantastic. So you understand what we're trying to achieve with the tool. Transforming content using AI. So we pull content from
8:34
your site and we can turn it and rewrite it into video script. So historically, and we've done
8:38
We've done lots of videos on this in the AI, in the weekly walk through series
8:42
pardon me, reading the word AI, where we sort of encourage publishers to go back
8:46
and refresh their content to help with SEO. And what we're suggesting here
8:52
taking existing unique content and turning it into a different media and turning into a different form
8:58
So if you think about it like that, this is just another excellent SEO opportunity. We use very human-sounding AI narrators
9:05
to read the content back. And I must stress human-like, not Scarlett Your Hansen-like
9:10
but we have a good array of voices that do exist. We can match relevant keywords to stop media
9:15
which is a really cool tool to do. And we also have an AI art generator when there isn't good much
9:20
So to help you turn your written content into video content, we have a tool that currently exists
9:26
and is pretty efficient of doing that. Where would I recommend people start with this
9:32
There's multiple different strategies that can exist. We'll have some publishers, who are putting news articles out
9:39
So they're turning out content quite frequently. Attaching unique video content to those articles can help you show up and rank for
9:48
their specific keyword terms. So again, instead of just showing up for written content, you can show up in Universal
9:53
Search and under video tabs. If you have lots of evergreen content, you know, find your top ranking articles that
10:00
you're probably starting to lose traffic on in favor of video. Let's help you get those turned into video content so you can retain
10:07
your traffic there. Lifestyle bloggers as well. You know, if you're constantly putting up, you know
10:14
recipes, for example, but using your own voice, we can help you clone that to get that onto videos
10:18
to get things going there. Just as a quick reminder, if anyone who's attended today
10:26
more than happy to set up a session afterwards where we can discuss how a unique video strategy
10:30
can help you and your site. So if you're left thinking, this all sounds great
10:35
but I don't know where to get started. I'm more than happy, more than happy. Just set some time up where we can spitball ideas
10:40
just have a conversation and help get things going from there. Yeah, the tool itself is designed to be fairly straightforward
10:51
What we do, you take the URL that you're interested in. I have an example here
10:56
Drop it into the tool. It pulls content. You hit, you know, create revision
11:00
It comes up with a generated AI script. So it doesn't just read the tech
11:07
back to you as the old tool used to do. It comes up with an engaging script that then can work
11:12
You go through the different settings. So, you know, if you want to auto match video
11:16
if you want to automate a soundtrack, all of those features are toggled on or off
11:20
Very simple. And afterwards, you are left with a video, which should play here
11:26
And let me know if you can hear the sound. If you can't, we don't have to wait too long here
11:32
A serene view of the Euphrates and Tigris rivers with ancient sailing
11:36
Yeah, that. Gliding through the water, sets the stage for our journey back in time
11:40
to the cradle of civilization, Mesopotamia. We're exploring an invention that revolutionized ancient travel and trade
11:48
the sailboat. We'll uncover the significance of these ancient vessels and their impact on one of the world's earliest
11:53
and most influential civilizations. Nestled between the mighty rivers, Euphrates and Tigris
12:00
Mesopotamia was a hub of innovation. From the wheel to Cuneiform writing
12:05
this civilization's contributions are monumental. But today, we focus on one of their key inventions, the sailboat
12:14
In an era before the construction of roads, the Mesopotamians turned to their rivers for
12:19
transportation. Sailboats emerged as the solution, facilitating trade, irrigation, and fishing, thereby enriching their civilization But how were these ancient sailboats made with simplicity and ingenuity So you kind of getting an idea of what the tool can do in that sense
12:41
So that was, you know, it took five minutes to pull the video together. You run it through the, run it through the scraping tool
12:47
Pulls the information, it auto matches stock footage, like you can see here as well as AI images on top of that
12:56
Music's added on top. Voicing is then auto-matched. and in the space of 10 minutes, 10 minutes of work
13:03
and 15 minutes of rendering of the video, you have unique content that can sit on the page
13:10
and start to drive traffic back to your site. And we will touch on the traffic element
13:16
I promise I keep saying that. We will touch how that works in just one sec. So within the tool itself, you know, you can come in
13:23
you can click on the AI image generator. You have a range of options
13:29
when you're wanting to do that. Does it have to be cinematic? Can it be less realistic
13:36
And depending on what you're looking for, the tools able to create images that match the style and tone
13:42
and the content you're trying to create. So the last one was historical, so it went for a slightly more serious tone
13:48
But if your blog is about children's bedtime stories, you can make things very easily
13:55
with like digital art, the enhanced art, that will work well in that setting
13:59
So it's very durable in the sense of what you can use it for. You may have noticed at the start there was an introduction that was generated
14:06
So again, when you're thinking about this is all well and true, but how can I brand this
14:10
How can I make it look like it fits the aesthetic of my site? You can add unique images and logos to the very start to give it that sort of essence of it being branded in your own content
14:22
And it is important to note that once the video is rendered and created, you own that video
14:28
You know, if you have a YouTube channel, you can download and you can put it on YouTube
14:32
If you are using Humix, which we're going to touch on next, you can upload it straight into humix
14:37
If you wanted to put it on Facebook, because you have the Facebook rewards program up and running
14:42
absolutely you can put it on Facebook. You know, there's no end to the places that you can seek to monetize and share this content
14:48
So again, when you're thinking of strategies and, you know, how am I going to attract more
14:54
users to my site now that Google is sort of introducing more
14:58
elements of AI, this is an excellent idea of traffic diversification. So as we sort of said, and as we, me, as I've said throughout, you know, Flickify can help
15:09
in a multitude of different ways, especially when it comes around to being found and when it
15:17
comes to SEO. So pages with video gain more traffic, 92% more, as we've already said, and see shares
15:25
increased by 52%. so people want to share content that has engaging media on it
15:31
And also the benefit of starting to rank in the video carousel on search. So whereas before you might look on and say there's no way that I can create content
15:40
that's what Flickify takes care of. It helps you to very quickly create video content to level that playing field of video creators
15:50
But then the next question is, how do I, pardon me, how do I get that out there
15:56
and where do I share that to be seen? So there is a question come in
16:00
which I'm going to answer right now, although I said I went to the end, but it is kind of relevant
16:04
So when I'm talking about the content on the page, someone has said
16:10
does it have to be your own video, can you embed a YouTube video? And the changes that Google made saying that
16:16
in order to rank for video, video content has to be the main content of the page
16:20
has stemmed from that sort of practice what users would do is they would write
16:26
an article and they would find a semi to maybe quite relevant YouTube video and put that on the
16:31
page and what that would do is drive interaction. However, now for video content to rank
16:39
it has to be the main element of the page. So in that instance, that would be YouTube
16:46
not the blog, which is where Humix comes in. So when we talk about humics, which we're going
16:52
now. One of the things that we do, and apologies I'm jumping ahead of my slides, but it felt
16:57
relevant to bring it out now. One of the things that we do is when we create humix videos is we
17:01
create a dedicated landing page so that that page can rank and the article can also rank
17:08
So both within that own right will appear in unifiled search. So it's basically, instead of the
17:13
traffic being lost to YouTube by you owning the video and having a dedicated video page for it
17:18
you are increasing the likelihood of your content being found. Now, does that mean you can't just add a YouTube video
17:26
No, of course you can. But what we're hoping to demonstrate that with a combination of Flickrifying Themix together
17:33
why would you use someone else's content or why would you use a YouTube video when you can use your own content
17:40
which will monetize on the page and also can independently rank above the YouTube video
17:45
And if everyone left thinking that was the best case scenario, then hopefully I'd have done my job today
17:52
So that's really what we're trying to do then with HUMIX, which is the video network that exists on a ZERC
18:00
So as you can see here, this section for each HUMX video, we create a dedicated video channel
18:09
So you have your own channel where all your videos sit. And within your own channel, each video that you upload to HUMIX gets his own
18:15
own dedicated video page. For the reasons I've just explained, that's really useful, very useful even, as that then
18:25
allows you to rank in universal search, allows you to rank in video search
18:30
When it comes to Humix as well, we host all the videos for you. And unlike the written content, there is no penalty for hosting video content in multiple
18:38
different places. So anyone who's written, you know, who owns multiple websites will know that the content
18:45
that monetized on one blog cannot be monetized on another blog That strictly against Google policy However when it comes to video you can monetize your video in multiple different places So there no reason not to also if you have YouTube videos to host them on Humix because we also have our video network sharing features that
19:06
enables your videos to be shared amongst, you know, we get billions of eyeballs on our pages
19:14
So it puts them in the shop window there. So as you can see that the competition
19:19
of the two has the real potential to drive traffic to your page. So why Humix? What we're trying to do is help with more traffic and help with more revenue. So hopefully everyone's still with me so far
19:32
So best case scenario, how are we seeing humix work? So you upload videos to your customizable channel
19:39
We create dedicated video URLs for you. You share your videos across the humix network and add revenue from
19:49
those videos. You also earn revenue on the page where you would have lost that before
19:54
if it was a YouTube embed or just having no video. But by having a Humix page, you then are able to
20:03
have those videos rank in in Google. A couple of extra steps that I would recommend if you're
20:08
looking to do that. If you have a Humix channel, I would strongly recommend that you go to the
20:14
Humix settings and you have a look at the video site map. And if you haven't submitted to
20:19
that's Google search console, I would do that. It operates in exactly the same way that a normal site map works
20:26
but it's just for the video content. So I would make sure that that's there
20:29
because it just makes it a lot easier for Google to find your video content. And also, if you have videos on the page
20:35
I would definitely look at having a tab on your homepage that links to the humix page
20:41
Again, anything that's more than three clicks away from the homepage, Google tends to get lazy and not crawl
20:47
So if you are looking to have the videos rank, just add to the drop-down menu video pages
20:53
and you'll be surprised at how quickly you start to see your videos starting to rank
20:59
So this is kind of what it looks like. We have a few examples of some dedicated video pages here
21:05
In case you haven't been in before, you can see the unique URLs that are also being created
21:11
The ytics also exists within Humix. So I don't know if people have played around with Humix
21:15
but you will start to see this start to populate. You can understand views
21:20
You can understand your traffic. You can understand how the videos that you're sharing are monetizing
21:26
versus the videos that are on your page. And you get a really comprehensive breakdown of your video revenue
21:34
But from a, you know, why should I use Humix? What's in it for me kind of, you know
21:41
takeaway message. from sites that we've seen using Humix, they have seen a 30% uplift in traffic
21:51
Humix as a network, if you're using the sharing feature, reaches a billion people every month
21:57
That is a huge amount of eyeballs that can potentially be on your video content
22:02
When you combine that with our Universal Player, which has had a fantastic new redesign
22:07
I don't know if people saw that before in year to now, but it looks so much sleeker and functioned so much better than it used to
22:13
people see a decent increase in revenue from there. And with the revenue split for videos being shared on other people's sites
22:19
if you upload and share your content, you're going to start making passive income off other publishers' views
22:26
So there's a huge win-win for creating and sharing content there. So I guess questions are as well as like
22:34
is it possible for Humix videos to be shown in Google search
22:41
And the answer is, yeah, like we are seeing that happen. I have two examples here of a couple of keywords
22:48
And this is universal search. You can see here. There's a search term from a giveaway site
22:55
We can see that the blog is ranking. And underneath, the hummix video is ranking
23:00
So if someone wants to read the article, they can read the article. But there will be people that will probably want to watch video
23:05
What we're doing is giving them another opportunity and another chance of engaging with content. And we have it there
23:11
Here, there's a site talking about. ice hockey, top tips for the 2024 draft, there's a YouTube video and straight below it
23:19
is the Humix video. So it can compete up there with YouTube. So you can see instances where
23:26
these keywords are both ranking. So, you know, historically, the questions that I've faced as
23:36
an account manager is, you know, what tips you have, yeah, if I'm looking to grow traffic to my
23:40
site. And the combination of these two tools here definitely, definitely answers that. You know
23:47
if you think video is important, but you don't have time. And I think that's probably where a lot of
23:52
people sit. Like, I'm a written publisher and I'm scrambling to try and keep the traffic that I have
23:56
let alone start a new, new strategy here. You know, for the sake of like five minutes of help
24:03
like making a video, this is something that can have a really positive impact on the site. You know
24:07
I want to improve my revenue. Again, that's another really common question that's consistently asked
24:13
The combination of these two tools will help you there as well
24:18
And if you're concerned about SEO, again, this is a real opportunity to start doing things that others can't or currently are not able or just aren't doing
24:27
So as we said earlier, when you think about the number of sites who are utilizing video on the pages of strategy
24:34
there's huge scope to get ahead and to start capitalising on that search traffic that exists
24:44
So hopefully that's positioned how between both Hummix and Flickify, there's a real opportunity to quickly and efficiently create engaging content
24:52
and get it ranking on Humix to start earning revenue. I appreciate there's a lot to go through there
25:00
So if you have questions, please do let me know. and I'll be more than happy to go through
25:05
and take as long as it's required to answer all of them
