So if you'd rather read about it rather than listen to a video
0:55
that's available to you as well. The era of large language models
1:02
So since about 18 months, large language models like OpenA.I. ChatGP.T. or others have taken the publishing world by a storm
1:14
They've basically driven the cost of producing textual content to near zero
1:21
And many publishers have probably tried it. Maybe you have used them to produce content
1:28
and hoped to maybe get some fantastic article, a work of art
1:36
I think in many cases you got something that was approaching what you had in mind
1:41
and in some other case you actually got something that was completely off
1:47
and not really what you expected. There are a number of reasons for this
1:53
Some of the challenges of large language models and generating content with
1:57
them is the lack of control over the narrative. It's difficult for you to stay on brand and on tone
2:05
It's not necessarily SEO proof. We'll touch on that in a minute. And it also often includes
2:12
repetitions, platitudes, and hallucinations. And that's why we built Wordsmith to try to address
2:19
many of those issues. Good morning again. My name is Gerald Burnand. I've spent many, many years
2:28
building search engines for enterprise and web in various languages. In the past four years, I joined Izoic and I work now on the side of publishers
2:39
bringing my experience of search and search engines by leading the Nisha IQ team
2:46
I'm passionate about AI, data science, and a lot of other things, many things linguistic in nature
2:52
So what we're going to talk about today is I'll talk a little bit about what Wordsmith is
2:59
I want to take you through the steps of creating content with Wordsmith
3:06
And then we'll quickly wrap up and have a look at what's coming next
3:13
I will take the questions at the end. Please, if you have any questions, include them in the Q&A channel because this is the only one I'm going to look at today
3:22
So what makes Wordsmith unique? It's driven by an article outline. We use progressive content generation
3:33
We don't generate the content all at once. It allows interactive editing, and it is SEO aware
3:43
So the typical steps you're going to see when you want to write an article with Wordsmith
3:48
first you need to gather the raw material that will be your two
3:52
topic, the title, the outline. Then you're going to import the outline into Wordsmith
3:59
Generate each section of your article, one by one, interactive editing. Once you done export the text to your favorite CMS at the Art publish and then return to Wordsmith to let Wordsmith know that you published the article So let get going Gathering the raw material there are many different ways you can do it
4:26
Many people use keyword search engines. I will go to Izowik. We provide in Dish IQ an application
4:38
called Topics and Topics generates on a weekly basis a set of recommended topics that are
4:47
evergreen and are specific to your website. So we take into account where your website is in
4:53
its life cycle and a number of other factors in order to recommend topics that we think are
4:59
relevant to your website and your niche. In my particular case, I had earmarked the previous week
5:06
a number of topics around metal framing. So those are the topics I'm going to be using
5:13
There are reasonably good potential. They're not too difficult. If keywords are very difficult, it's difficult to rank for them
5:22
If they're too easy, it might not be worth it because the search volume is not going to be very high
5:30
So I'm going to stay with those three keywords for today. Now that I have my topic and the keywords that I want to focus on for my article
5:43
it's time to generate the outline. So maybe you had an idea of an article outline
5:48
In my case, I like to use chat GPT to get going with the outline
5:55
So what I do is I take, I have two parts of the outline
6:01
I have the system prompt and I have the task to fulfill
6:04
and I like to go to the chat GPD playground to do this
6:10
The system prompt describe what you want the large language model to assume in term of role
6:18
and the task is basically what you want this large language model to perform
6:24
Once you've done this, it's going to produce an outline. You can also, if you'd like, ask for a few sample titles
6:32
For this example, we're just going to use the outline and the titles that were recommended by chat GPT
6:41
Obviously, you can edit the outline, adjust it, remove sections until you're happy with the outline
6:48
But it's a great way to get off the blank page with an outline
6:58
So now that we have our outline, it's time to import it into Wordsmith
7:02
So I'm going to go back to Nisha Q and we're going to switch to Wordsmith
7:10
I'm going to create a new article. And I'm going to go, the first thing you want to do is to enter the title
7:19
So I put on the side the title that I had retrieved from ChatGPT and also the outline
7:29
and so you notice that the outline is basically a section heading with a double sharp sign
7:41
and then one or more lines that will describe what you want in this particular section
7:50
So you describe as if you were going to give this outline to a content writer
7:55
you describe what you would like to see into this particular section
7:59
Once I'm done importing my outline, I will get into the main section of Wordsmith
8:10
In this section, you will find that it has parsed the outline and created a section for
8:15
every single section heading I had in my outline. The last thing I want to do is to include the SEO keywords that I was interested in By doing this you will allow Wordsmith to focus on those keywords and take them into account
8:35
as it generates every single section. So we're at the point now where we're ready to generate each section
8:42
So we go to the first section. Okay, we find exactly what we had in the outline, the heading, and the content
8:51
and it's time to expand it. So once the article is expanded
9:01
maybe it's longer than what you wanted. You can at any time do undo
9:08
You can change the length of the article, re-expand. It's going to take those instructions into account
9:16
Now we have a shorter introduction. Once you're happy with the text, you get to the next one, expand it
9:24
And as you see here, for every single section that the, every single section you're going to work on
9:33
there is a context that's given towards me of the previous section, the next section, the outline
9:39
So it's always aware of the full narrative and the structure of the article
9:42
and that ensures that it's going to focus on this particular section
9:48
and not start doing repetitions across sections. At any time, you can remove text or edit text
10:00
The text is automatically saved. You go section by section, adding the information
10:09
expanding the text. If you're not happy, again, you can come back, you can remove sections, re-expend
10:19
So it's a very interactive process. And it's meant to be as if you were interacting with a content writer, reviewing what it produced and make the necessary corrections
10:31
You can also keep an eye on your keyword either globally or per section
10:38
when we go globally, we can see that one of the main keyword that I have for the SEO
10:44
is represented maybe too many times, depending on, we're going to see that at the end
10:52
depending on how much repetition you want to include into your article
10:59
So we're going to keep going quickly. Expanding each section. So this task typically takes 20 to 30 minutes
11:18
And once you're done with the last section, you have now rendered all the sections for your article
11:25
The next step is to go to generate the article. So you can go into the finish step
11:36
or go back here, you find that each of the section has been generated, has a full text now
11:44
And that's the time now where we're going to go publish the article. So before we do so, we have one last step where we can review the full text of the article
11:57
This is a place where I like to go and check some of the keywords that I was contemplating
12:06
For example, metal stud framing. So you can find how many times it appears in the text
12:16
If you find it's repeated too many times, you can go back to the section and edit it
12:22
Once you're happy with your text, the next step is going to be to export it into your favorite CMS
12:32
So we're going to export document. And we going to take the title create a new post I use WordPress here
12:50
Come back, copy the content. Now I have all the content into my CMS
13:01
The next step is going to be to add the art, add the links
13:04
So I have an example that I prepared ahead of time for this
13:09
Once your article is ready with the text, you can do the last edits if you have any additional edit
13:14
You have art and links. You're ready to publish it. So we're going to go publish the article and view the post
13:28
The reason why I want to view the post is because I want to take the URL of that post and
13:33
I want to give it back to Ward Smith. So that Wordsmith is now aware that this particular article you were working on has been published
13:45
This is now done. The article is published. You have the option to generate a teaser to advertise this article you just generated
13:57
Again, it's interactive. can edit, remove, alter. And once you're happy, you can send it to your favorite social media
14:12
The article is ready to be published and you can click a post to publish it
14:19
So that's the overview of how you generate an article with Wordsmith
14:27
Going back to the slide now, once your article is published, as I said, you can see the status as published
14:41
And over the weeks, you will now be able to monitor the ROI that those documents produce
14:49
So when you click on ROI on documents, you will have information showed up
14:55
you will find the amount of page views, the revenue, and the PMV of every single article you've produced
15:03
You will also have a pulse which shows you on a weekly basis the amount of traffic that article has produced
15:16
The goal is to look at the past three months and have a sliding window of the past three months
15:21
And finally, if you're interested in diving into the details, we have a link to BDA, which is with Big Data ytics
15:32
where you're going to find all the details you can ever imagine about this article
15:37
about the visitors, the traffic, the audience that came, the interactions they had with the page, whether they read it
15:45
whether they were engaged, etc. So, in summary, with Wordsmith, you can accelerate your content production with generative AI
15:55
You control the narrative at all time and stay on brand with the article outline
16:00
and you can use the keywords to allow content generation to be SEO aware
16:05
You can finally track your articles, your article's ROI over time, once you have informed the Wordsmith that the article was published
16:16
And things that we're working on right now, we will soon add the ability to select the tone, the target audience, such as gender, age, and social groups, and also we're experimenting with micro prompts
16:33
So micro prompts would be additional, very fine prompt that you could insert in the article outline to give specific directions to the way the content
16:46
is generated. So I think we're going to get to the Q&A section
