Ron DeSantis Involved In A Car Accident On His Way To Chattanooga

from the Ron DeSantis camp. The governor has been involved in an accident on his way to a campaign event

The Florida governor and Republican presidential candidate, who is declining in the polls right

now, was apparently involved in some type of automobile accident on Tuesday on his way

to a campaign event in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Currently, his press office has said that he's doing fine and no one was injured in

the accident. But it is frightening how quick something like that can happen

These guys are always traveling around, they're in cars, they're in airplanes all the time

It's quite scary. Let's take a look at the first report on the story. We begin the hour with the Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has been involved in a car crash

This in the state of Tennessee. Again, his press secretary had confirmed the news to Newsmax and we are told that thankfully

everyone is OK. Again, everyone is fine in the vehicle. More details will come

Newsmax Miami correspondent Leonardo Feldman joins us now live. He's got the very latest

Leo, good morning. Good morning, Emma and Sean. That's right. Ron DeSantis was involved in a car accident early this morning in Chattanooga, Tennessee

He was traveling to an event. He's actually holding three different fundraisers today in Tennessee, one in Chattanooga, which

was the first one that was supposed to take place. And it's unclear if actually this is still taking place

The next one is supposed to be in Knoxville and the third one is supposed to be in Franklin

We know that his press secretary, Brian Griffin, posted a statement saying, quote, This morning

the governor was in a car accident while traveling to an event in Chattanooga, Tennessee

He and his team are uninjured. We appreciate the prayers and well wishes of the nation for his continued protection

while on the campaign trail. So again, he's uninjured, but he was involved in a car accident

We still don't have details as to, you know, was this a multi-vehicle car crash

Was he in the passenger's seat? We don't have information exactly as to where he was seated or what happened, but we know

that he was uninjured and none of his team members were injured as well

As I was saying, it's very dangerous out there. These guys are flying all around the country

They're meeting people. They're in cars. It is a dangerous situation. You forget that sometimes

They're just human beings. DeSantis right now is suffering big time in the polls

And I think that's his bigger concern now that he's OK and he wasn't injured in the

car accident. He's declining on the daily basis at this point, and it's really hurting him

Right now, Vivek Ramaswamy in some polls is actually getting ahead of DeSantis, which

is something nobody could have predicted three, four months ago. And I think it's why you have to understand in presidential politics or politics in general

predicting things is a dangerous game. You know, right now, whoever's in the lead, that can change

Although with a mammoth like Trump right now in the lead, it doesn't appear plausible

that there's a candidate that can match his personality, his excitement, his groundswell

of support from the people. There doesn't seem to be a person who can capture the imagination of the Republican

Party the way that Donald Trump has. That's the biggest obstacle for all the candidates

If it were me and I was in the Republican race right now looking at Trump, I would just

have to back out and say, look, it's better to fight another day than tank my entire career

ruin my entire career and my future in this campaign against the guy I know I can't defeat

That being said, folks, of course, we wish DeSantis all the best. We pray that he is not injured and there's no injuries that pop up from this and everybody
