Nightmare For Fani Willis - Removal Proceedings Set To Begin

Hey ladies and gentlemen, this is Carmine Sabia for Explain America, and Fannie Willis

is not out of the woods, not by a long shot. In fact, she may be removed from her office before Trump's trial even gets started

So the Georgia Senate, or certain Georgia Republican senators, were originally trying

to impeach Fannie Willis, but they got no help from Georgia Republican Governor Brian Kemp

See, Brian Kemp, he's a stone-cold anti-Trumper, and that's because him and Trump had words

after the 2020 election when Trump wanted him to do certain things that would swing

Georgia his way because Trump thought, supposedly thought, the votes existed there

It's a whole story, obviously you're going to see that play out in court

So Kemp, not a big fan of Trump, said he did not see that they had the required amount

of people in the House and State Senate to remove, to impeach and remove Fannie Willis

But, and here's the big but in the Fannie Willis saga, if you will, Georgia Governor

Brian Kemp did sign a law, not long ago, that allows a special commission set up by the

Congress of the state to remove prosecutors who are either not doing their duty or who

are abusing their power. And that's where the Georgia Republicans believe they got her dead to rights

In fact, one Georgia Republican said that he believes these charges against Trump are

all just an effort to make Willis some kind of, quote, leftist celebrity, end quote

Now, I don't know if that's true, but I've seen her at the functions, at Shaq's birthday

party, hanging out with rappers. She does seem to relish the role of celebrity

Of course, she was a defense attorney for one of those rappers, so she has an excuse there

Why she was at Shaq's birthday party, that I don't know. But she seems to relish the celebrity role

In fact, a lot of people, including Chris Christie, who is no fan of Trump, believe

these charges should have never been brought because they were already covered in the federal trial

But Willis wanted this trial. She wanted this, I believe, just like the Georgia Republicans believe, for her own celebrity

for her own credibility. She wanted to make a star out of herself

That's what it's all about. I 100% believe that. And if that's the case, if she is abusing her authority, if she's abusing her authority

then folks, she needs to be removed from office and this commission, which convenes

again in October, will be set up to do just that. They don't need an impeachment

They can remove her simply for abusing her power and not doing her job the way she's

supposed to do it. If that happens, well, that would be a great day for the legal system in America

Because I think it would show, I mean, look, who doesn't believe this is a witch hunt at

this point? Who doesn't believe that every prosecutor has their sights set on Donald Trump, every

leftist prosecutor that can? So I believe that if this is the case and she abused her power, then get rid of her

Get rid of her and get a prosecutor in there that will do their job. Folks, I'm Carmine Sabia
