'If I Dress Like A Slob' - Fetterman Goes On Bizarre Rant About His Wardrobe

is at the height of another scandal and this time it involves his wardrobe

It was reported this week that Senate Majority Leader and New York Senator Charles Schumer

will not be enforcing the dress code in the Senate and a lot of people think it's a capitulation

to Senator Fetterman because he refuses to wear a suit and tie and a shirt and a jacket

and all that stuff when he goes to the Senate and he kind of dresses like a teenager or

a college kid going to his frat party and a lot of people are not happy about this

Well other people say there's bigger things, more important things than worrying about

how Senator Fetterman is dressing and we should not be even worrying about that

Let's take a look at what Senator Fetterman said about this controversy. Great to be here

Let me start with the most important matter facing our country at this dire moment which

is the matter of the Senate dress code which has recently been changed

Of course, yes, of course. I've heard that some people are upset about that and the right have been like losing their

mind you know they're just like oh my god you know dogs and cats are living together

and you know like I said aren't there more important things we should be talking about rather than if I dress like a slob

Yes Marjorie Taylor Greene said the Senate no longer enforcing a dress code for senators

is to appease Fetterman is disgraceful. Dress code is one of society's standards that set etiquette and respect for institutions

Stop lowering the bar. What do you say to that? Well you know her platform you know really she runs on more and more ding-a-ling you

know pics you know on in the meetings over in Congress. So again I'm not really sure why she cares how I dress but you know she really takes

it a different way. Now I personally believe a senator if you're going to take that job you know part of the

description is to dress in a shirt and a tie and a jacket. I would love to come on here every day in a t-shirt for you guys and just be relaxed

but part of the job here is to look like a professional and even sometimes I don't

want to wear a shirt and tie and a jacket but you do it because you're showing respect

for your audience. Well in the same in the same token you're showing respect for your constituents the

Senate itself and the United States of America. I believe you know that when you take the job and you're supposed to do that and I think

you know the senator has fallen short of that you know but I forgive him man had a stroke

you know he's going through some things if he wants to be comfortable I don't necessarily

against that honestly. It's not really a major issue for me but you know again I think it is embarrassing

I do think he should look the part but I'm not going to you know I'm not going to stop

the world for it I'm not going to not going to go crazy about it I'm just you know I think

that I think he should look the part though I think if you don't want to do the job or

wear the clothes that you know the dress code requires you know it it's not a surprise

dress code then maybe you shouldn't do the job. So I think there's a lot of other issues that Fetterman besides his dress that we need to
