Geraldo Rivera Stuns Fans With Final Move at Fox News - This Explains Everything

They are furious at what happened with Geraldo Rivera when he walked off the set of Fox News

Fox and Friends for the last time and they have every right to be

Now if you didn't watch the big Geraldo send off on Fox News, you may not know why people

are furious but I'll tell you a little bit about it and then I'm going to show it to you in, well, a little bit of it

So there was a huge send off for Geraldo Rivera. I mean you had anchors and Fox News personalities and all of these people coming in and praising

Geraldo, what a great guy he is, what an inspiration he was to them, how much they love him, what

he's done for the network, all of this stuff. They brought in a cake, they gave him a standing ovation and all of that's fine until you realize

he was fired from the Five and was offered a correspondent at large job for Fox News

which he initially accepted. But then he got angry with Fox for being fired at the Five it appears and then he just quit

Fox News completely. And they're not mad at him for it, they give him a hero's send off

Some of the biggest liberals on the network, a network watched by mostly conservatives

they give him a hero's send off and that's not even the worst part

But I'm going to get to that right after the jump. I want you to take a look at this clip

With my leg gone, he's my leg. He's a great producer and I know he can't tell himself

Everybody in 1211 Avenue of the Americas, standing ovation. I love you

Thank you. Thank you. I'm deeply touched. I'm honored. I love Fox, I love the people at Fox

I always will. I'll never let anyone separate us. But I am beyond grateful for this

This is so deeply affecting. I love you for it. It's cake time, folks

Thank you for all the work that's been done. And he's got it next

So what people are furious about is not the send off for Geraldo, good for him, have a cake, knock yourself out, go on vacation, enjoy your boat

What people are furious about is Tucker Carlson has carried that network for years

It's evidenced in the ratings for other shows that follow Tucker Carlson, like Hannity, declining now that Carlson is off

And all Carlson got was a, hey, Tucker's not here anymore, kind of thing

Five, ten seconds on one of their programs and he was never mentioned again

Can't mention him on your shows, can't have him in your presidential ads, as one presidential campaign found out recently

Can't mention or show Tucker anywhere ever. But Geraldo gets a hero send off

And why? Geraldo is just a bit player, a cog in the wheel

Tucker was the face of the company and you gave him nothing. You gave him nothing

And this is why fans are furious with it. And I understand that fury

Look, businesses operate in their own way and they do what they do and there's nothing we can do about it

But, this is part of the reason Fox News is suffering right now

In the ratings and just in a public perception perspective. What I want to know is what you guys think about this

Was this appropriate? Was it okay for Geraldo? Should Tucker have had the same thing
